Increased Male Hormones in Autism, Peer Reviewed Study

Routine Testing Confirms Elevated Male
>Hormones in Autism

>
>WASHINGTON, DC - A new moderate-scale
>peer-reviewed scientific/medical study
>confirms many patients with an autistic
>spectrum disorder (ASD) suffer from
>significantly elevated levels of male
>hormones, and numerous treatments that
>lower male-hormone levels have significantly
>improved clinical outcomes in patients
>with an ASD.
>
>This study, "A Prospective Assessment of
>Androgen Levels in Patients with Autistic
>Spectrum Disorders: Biochemical Underpinnings
>and Suggested Therapies," by Mr. David A.
>Geier and Dr. Mark R. Geier, has been
>published in the most recent issue of
>Neuroendocrinology Letters (Volume 28,
>Issue 5, pgs. 565-573). A grant from the
>Brenen Hornstein Autism Research & Education
>(BHARE) Foundation (Elk Grove, IL) to the
>Institute of Chronic Illnesses, Inc. (Silver
>Spring, MD) funded this research.
>
>Previous studies by Tordjman et al. (1997)
>and Geier and Geier (2006) have suggested
>patients with an ASD have elevated levels
>of male hormones. The male hormones tested
>in the Geier and Geier (2007) study were:
>testosterone, dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA),
>and androstenedione.
>
>This study utilized blood testing to assess
>the level of these male hormones in patients
>diagnosed with an ASD. The researchers examined
>70 patients diagnosed with an ASD who were
>subsequently found to have elevated male-hormone
>levels by the CLIA-approved US Laboratory
>Corporation of America (LabCorp).
>
>The findings by Geier and Geier demonstrate:
>· Patients with an ASD had significantly
> increased levels of serum testosterone,
> serum free testosterone, percent free
> testosterone, DHEA, and androstenedione
> relative to LabCorp's age- and sex-specific
> reference range means.
>· Female patients with an ASD diagnosis had
> significantly higher relative testosterone
> and free testosterone levels than the male
> patients.
>· Elevations in male hormone levels may result
> from environmental exposures, such as mercury,
> and increase the toxicity of the exposure.
>
>The results of the present study confirm and
>extend previous observations, establishing the
>clinical importance of elevated male-hormone
>levels in those diagnosed with an ASD. Also,
>this paper's findings are consistent with those
>observed by many others who treat similar
>patients.
>
>The researchers also found that administration
>of a male-hormone-reducing drug (leuprolide
>acetate, LUPRON®) to nearly 200 patients
>diagnosed with an ASD resulted in significantly
>lowered male-hormone levels and corresponding
>clinically significant reductions in
>hyperactivity/impulsivity, stereotypy,
>aggression, self injury, abnormal sexual
>behaviors, and/or irritability behaviors that
>frequently occur in patients with an ASD, with
>few non-responders and minimal adverse effects
>from the therapy.
>
>Thus, hormone testing is being successfully
>used to:
>· Demonstrate the role of elevated male
> hormones in populations with an ASD,
>· Clinically identify children and adults
> who have elevated male hormones, and
>· Track male hormone levels from affected
> patients undergoing treatment to lower
> male hormones.
>
>Today, any parent, physician, or healthcare
>provider can easily confirm whether a
>patient diagnosed with an ASD has elevated
>male hormones through testing done at LabCorp.
>
>Among other articles, the CoMeD's website,
>http://www.Mercury-freeDrugs.org, contains
>full copies of the 2006 and 2007 papers
>authored by David A. Geier and Mark R. Geier.

Aaaah yes, there it is. Would have cost me 2 years if I had waited to the peers to review.
Now where are the NeuroDemented beeeyatches who were squaking that it wasn't peer reviewed. Like that was all that was preventing them from doing it.
Cool.
Srinath.

Oh yea, autism is mercury poisoning and that view has just gone mainstream. What next ... Jay leno jokes about it ??
And I almost forgot - Oh yea, Its NeuroInsane Hunting season boys. Get your guys ready, have ammo and have a strategy, for god's sake, have a strategy. Remember ... even ig you shoot off 1 of their legs thay still retain 87.5% of their mobility and fighting power ( like the spider-aliens of Starship troopers) ... you must hit their center.
I dunno about y'all, I am partial to the Automatic Kalashnikov of 1947. Easy to get bullets for, easy to fix, easy to maintain. Mac 10's are uniquely american, but hey I just like The AK's. Maybe my asian genetics.
Anyway, time to put our gun talk aside and go NeuroInsane hunting.
Also carry a high power sniper rifle with scope with you. You can get them at a distance too before they get close and do more damage. Also Bullets with mercury in them, work great. I mean lead is just fine, but I like the mercury. Lighter and more poisonous.
Cool.
Srinath.

I think I will carry a cross and some holy water, and maybe a stake or two. Ya know, ND'ers are dirty sucking filthy creatures that would have all our kids be autistic forever. Sorta makes you wonder what their motives are? Naught! PHARMASHILLS!!!!!!!!!

Wow the Rev. Sykes as researcher. Pretty powerful evidence there.

John, looks like you have a rival for the psychotic label here (Srinath). I don't think even you have said to get a gun and start hunting people before. Wow. How are you going to up the ante?

Sykes did not do the peer review and she does not have the ability to publish in a medical journal.
Your next task is to discredit the medical journal. I suggest you start with the stte its published in. Maybe the printing press has some un regulated ink.
In the mean time, if a bright red dot appears in your sights ... dont worry its nothing, one of your compound eyes is acting up.
Cool.

When Sykes says "peer reviewed" run a mile! The Wicked Witch of the West strikes again with her lies. Go bash a bible, woman - you'd be better for it!

How high would Baggs' testosterone be with all that hair on her face?

Why ask, Forearm? You interested in her?

Obe again for the hard of comprehension - Rev Sykes cannot Peer review a medical atricle.
It was published by her after peer review by other doctors. This Document has been around since atleast 2005 summer. I have seen it before I started my son's lupron test and even research. That was November 2005. This document was peer reviewed recently (and not By a preacher) and it was put up on a preacher's web site.
Jeez, The NeuroDemented are also the Neuro Stupid. NeuroDumb - OK.
Cool.

To my knowledge,Michelle Dawson doesn't have any scientific qualifications either, but everything she does is held in such high "scientific" esteem.
Another neurodiverse double standard...
surprise!
