Amanda Baggs Lawyers Up

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgmP0Z1PC74

Above is the link to a letter from Neurodiverse nitwit lawyer, Anne Bevington to the autistic woman known as Droopy. It seems that Bevington thinks she can order Droopy to stop defending herself from Amanda Baggs' impersonation of her.

Bevington has gone as far as demanding that Droopy remove all anonymous comments from this blog that she thinks were put there by Droopy. I hope Droopy won't get in trouble with Bevington because anonymous comments can not be removed by the author. They can only be removed by the blog owner.

The problem here is, how is the blog owner supposed to know who put the anonymous comments here. Will I be reprimanded by this neurodiverse nitwit because I can't identify who posted certain coments? What if I believe Droopy and not Amanda (sham) Baggs? Can this lawyer force me to delete comments? That sounds like a free speech matter. I don't think lawyers have the authority to force anyone to do anything. Can she sue me for refusing to infringe on Droopy's right to free speech? I don't think so.

We have Amanda Baggs masquerading as a low functioning autistic person. If Amanda wants to take legal action based on that, it seems she would have to prove that she is, in fact, a low functioning autistic person. A low functioning autistic person might try to eat the keyboard upon which Baggs types 120 words per minute. I wonder if Baggs can work that into her role. Can she type and eat the keyboard simultaneously?

If low functioning autistic people knew how to call lawyers for help, they'd all be getting themselves off of Seroquel, Clonidine and other wonderful, mind-numbing drugs in favor of some DMSA and ALA, and getting themselves out of institutions. Does anyone think this nitwit, Bevington will help autistic kids with that? I doubt it. However, it's interesting that this associate of Kathleen Seidel's will initiate legal action against a true autistic woman. This is just more proof that Neurodiversity exists to harm autistic people.

That's my opinion of the whole thing, MS Bevington. Do you think silencing Droopy will stop anyone else from giving their opinion that Amanda Baggs is a sham?

Droopy, you're welcome to say whatever you want about Baggs here. That is, of course, unless MS Bevington can deny you you're free speech on a blog. This blog is written for an autistic person and, as such, will expose any scumbag who tries to harm any autistic person with blatant lies as Amanda Baggs chooses to do.

Amanda Baggs, MS Bevington, is harmful to all truly low functioning autistic people because she makes the general public think that autism is not nearly as horrible as it is. That lie that sways public opinion helps to prevent a majority of the public from becoming outraged at the atrocity that has been perpetrated on our babies. The fact that the general public is not outraged about this crime of negligence prevents people like my son from receiving all of the medical care that he needs to reverse the effect of that negligent poisoning. For assisting with this sham MS Bevington, I hope you die a slow, painful death and rot in Hell.

I also hope some decent lawyer who reads this will advise Droopy how to get this Neurodiverse nitwit, lawyer off her ass.

ADDENDUM: It looks like the nitwit lawyer has scared Droopy. All of her videos concerning Amanda (sham) Baggs are gone from Youtube. The nitwit can't erase our memories. We know what we saw and we know who is telling the truth. The scumbags at Neuroinsanity may have won a battle by intimidating an autistic woman. Their actions can't alter the truth.

Here's another video that the nitwits at Neuroinsanity will not like. http://www.tacanow.org/video/hope-video.htm
I wonder if a nitwit lawyer will demand that this be removed because it shows them for the idiots that they are with their deranged philosophy of wanting children to suffer for a lifetime instead of being helped.

If the comments are proven to be defamatory, Mr Best, one can still be sued. Freedom of speech is not a defence if the comments are not true and cause damage to the person being defamed.

I recommend you be careful and not treat this with a grain of salt. It depends largely on whether or not Amanda is bluffing. That is what we don't know.

John Best said...

I can't see anyone proving that any comments are defamatory when Baggs is not autistic. Doesn't it state in the DSM that autism must be diagnosed by 3 or 4 years of age? So, by definition, she can not be autistic.

Anonymous said...

No it doesn't say it must. And even if it does that doesn't mean you can't be diagnosed at any other stage of your life. Your definition is ridiculous.

John Best said...

Those who are really autistic are diagnosed very young because they have something seriously wrong. Baggs didn't fit or she would not have been missed. If she had acted the way she does on her videos as a child, she would have been diagnosed by anyone who met her.

I've posted a lot of links to her old blogs on here and said not so nice things about this person. Good luck with taking me to court for voicing my opinion on something I know is a fraud; I live in Iceland, haha.

She's fake and I suspect that letter Droopy got might also be a fake. How the hell can they even think they can identify anonymous posts on here? People are starting to see through Amanda so she's trying to scare Drooopy into being quite. This is hilarious, the way Amanda is acting, ROFL.

Drooopy will get her justice and people will see the truth in the end. More power to you Drooopy, you're not doing anything illegal.

Actually, I know the school here has discovered a couple of kids who can't talk, but they can type. Typing allows for a visual cue in the communication. We're going to start signing with Joey this week, because we have learned he can follow a conversation and keep up with stories better if he has visual cues; there is some problem he is having with processing sound. So I wouldn't write off someone as "not autistic" simply because they can type, but cannot speak. Would I consider such a person to be "low-functioning"? I think the functioning labels are really quite useless, as they don't seem to refer to a person's ability to actually function in society. My kid is called "high functioning" all the time, yet he can't hold his own in a classroom, or with his peers. Can he be called "functional" when he can't actually function?

She's against being chelated isn't she? I think she enjoys wearing diapers. She discusses adult diaper wearing with other adults in a sexualized context, so I hear.

John, I'm having problems with my blogger account and for a few days last week I couldn't post anything. If I try and use my blogger account it fails and then "other" and "Anonymous" don't work either.
I can only use anonymous at the moment.
Because i've tried to use blogger i've had to save this comment, log off your blog then come back and post as anonymous.
This might be happening to others with blogger accounts who want to post here but are having trouble.
I don't think it's a problem with your blog, but with google/blogger accounts.

Baggs didn't fit or she would not have been missed.

She wasn't missed, she was mis-diagnosed. My view is that she was the victim of a number of medical people who were still living in the 19th century. History is littered with people who are the victims of holes in health system.

John Best said...

Sorry, nitwit, autism was not misdiagnosed by anyone after 1943. Baggs was born 40 years after that. There was nothing to diagnose until she became a teenager, took LSD and decided to be schizophrenic.
The only misdiagnosis taking place with ASD's are nerds pleading for an Asperger's diagnosis to excuse their lame behavior. Are you forgetting that Baggs could talk before she auditioned for job of Neuroinsanity Spokesmodel?

Anonymous said...

Hey Forearm Dick! You don't need a lawyer - you need an undertaker!

John Best said...

Gee, maybe I'll get calls from a neuroinsane, nitwit lawyer offering to prosecute you for that threat. Nah, those nitwit lawyers are too busy picking on autistic people.

Joeymom said...

Actually, autism was often "misdiagnosed" after 1943. I have a very good friends I grew up with who weren't diagnosed with ASD until we were in our twenties. Children with "milder" forms of autism, especially verbal children, were commonly "missed" in the educational process. Non-verbal ones were often labeled MR, and only recently diagnosed ASD (especially when appropriate IQ measures were used, and it was discovered that these people were well in normal, or even above-normal, range). Children I grew up who were often considered strange, but gifted are now realizing they have Asperger's Syndrome. Perhaps having grown up in the "gifted" crowd, I know more of these cases than other people might, but it is definitely true that kids have been, and continueto be, mislabeled, misdiagnosed, and mistreated because the autism is not being diagnosed.

Not that there are no misdiagnoses the other way. This is very common around here with Tourettes, which often presented as autism-like when the kids are young.

John Best said...

Joeymom, You're talking about high-functioning people. A train wreck, as portrayed by Baggs, could never be missed by anyone. Do you suppose that's because she did not take acting lessons until she decided to become autistic?

Anonymous said...

Sorry, nitwit, autism was not misdiagnosed by anyone after 1943.

How do you know? Prove that it hasn't been mis-diagnosed. My sister was mis-diagnosed with schizophrenia - and it was corrected to high functioning Autism in the late 1990's when she was 24! So there's one example!

Anonymous said...

A train wreck, as portrayed by Baggs, could never be missed by anyone.

It could be called something else! Amanda herself has said she suffers from other problems along with Autism. Did it occur to you to think that the other issues were diagnosed and Autism got lost in the shuffle?

Or are you too stupid?

I'm really upset, Drooopy took her blog down about the lawyer. She's letting the Amanda cult get to her.

This Amanda character will be exposed and the day she does get exposed I will laugh so hard. What comes around goes around and I can't wait until her past catches up with her.

I'd be really interested in hearing from that guy she claims is stalking her; he went to college with her and probably has a story to share.

What was her username when she was posting all that LSD stuff in Google Groups?

Joeymom, I don't understand. Only five months ago (November 25, 2006 - Commentary: 8 Myths of Julie Krasnow) you wrote:

"However, in my wide range of contacts, friends, acquaintences, etc., I have only one person I know has an ASD, and not even a whisper of anyone, a sibling, a cousin, an aunt, uncle, etc., with ASD, Einstein Syndrome, or other problems that could indicate ASD."

I actually wondered the same thing when I saw your blog pop up in the search, haha. Everything that has been posted on here are links to old messages of hers, I doubt you can get in trouble for that.
As far as the opinions on here go, if people are so sensitive they don't have to come on this blog. The last time I checked it was OK to voice your opinion about a person on the Internets.

This Amanda Baggs is becoming the LULZ of the year. She's probably the first known case where autism appeared later on in life, kind of like alzheimers I guess.

Watson, I'm very tempted to e-mail Daniel M. Drucker. Anyone dare to send him a message?

John Best said...

Maxima, What's a LULZ?
It's a good tactic by a nitwit lawyer to browbeat someone who publicizes a fraud. It's sort of like bluffing in a poker game against someone who you know is short on cash. I think there's been enough information supplied here to call that bluff.
However, if the nitwit lawyer learned anything from the Nixon administration, she's busily deleting all of the comments that have been referenced here at the source.

I have found out about these recently. Sorry I don't put every little detail of my life in my blog for you.

Glad you cleared that up. I find apparent contradictions intriguing - particularly when it seemed you were going to type "a friend", changed your mind, and put the sentence in the plural form. But I guess the "a" was just a typo.

Actually, I wasn't reading through your blog to verify what you'd said about your friends, I wanted to find out more about your son because I'd only read your first blog message and your last, and gathered that your son was profoundly autistic and that he had started speaking in sentences after oxygen treatment a few weeks ago.

That was the impression I got from this:
There were other words that emerged from her lips, but the ones I will always remember were: "Your son is either profundly deaf, or profoundly autistic."

And this:
This burst of verbal-ness is actually something of a shock. It started when he was put on the oxygen during our Croup Crisis a couple weeks ago. He's been using sentences ever since.

But I had it wrong. I have now read elsewhere that your son has been able to speak in sentences for some time, and converse too, and that he's now considered to be mildly autistic.

Sorry to have been jumping to conclusions, but I guess when people say that their child "has autism" or "is autistic", I tend to picture my own child at the same age. And although my son was happy, affectionate and cuddly prior to vaccination at the age of two - he wasn't afterwards.

If you think your son might be having problems processing sound I'd like to suggest you look into AIT.

Children with "milder" forms of autism, especially verbal children, were commonly "missed" in the educational process.

Seeing as Baggs has said that she wasn't diagnosed with anything until she was 14, do you think that she would have been missed when she was growing up, if she'd had even mild autism, like your son?

The impression that Baggs gives, that she has always been the way she appears to be today i.e. non-verbal and severely autistic, is false and misleading.

Foresam said...

It could be called something else! Amanda herself has said she suffers from other problems along with Autism.

She doesn't make that clear when she is advising parents of children with autism.

For example, take what Baggs says here to Julie Zuelsdorff:

http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH/02/22/autism.emails/index.html

Baggs wasn't non-verbal when she learned to type at the age of 9, nor was she diagnosed with Autistic Disorder at the time. She didn't have to learn to type in order to communicate, but that's the impression she gives.

Is that honest?

Cat Lady said...

Jonsmum, don't take comments on here to heart. I know I could never imagine what it's like having an autistic child but people's opinions or lack of understanding should never get into your heart.

I started reading about autism because my best friend's son is autistic. I probably wouldn't have stuck around this place if it weren't for the fact that Foresam let's people voice their opinions; even if they're not polite or kind.

If people like Amanda manage to control what is said online why bother posting anymore?

The fact that Droopy deleted her blogs is horrible and I hope that anyone that knows her encourages her to put them back up.

Like I've said before; she sounds more like a person that took a bad trip on LSD and never recovered.

BTW, Foresam; you can always set up a forum and host it in another country. I have experience with Open Source, PHP run websites and it costs close to nothing to get one set up.

Yes we all know what we saw. Such as Amanda blogging about how a doctor diagnosed her as being hypermobile and folding her wrist down parallel with her forearm then Droopy stating that this was an imitation of her and yet Amanda couldn't get it "quite right" because it's "not called hyper-mobile but hyper elasticity" and is "part of a syndrome called Ehler's Danlos". Droopy has hyper elasticity which includes the abillity to stretch the skin beyond what is considered normal. Amanda has hyper mobility of the joints and her skin doesn't stretch in the manner that Droopy's does. So in effect Droopy is saying that somehow, Amanda is bending her joints in a way that is not possible for the rest of us in an attempt to imitate Droopy, while at the same time not conforming to Droopy's Disease and therfore is imitating her poorly and even though hyper mobility is a know syndrome, it isn't right because it is not the syndrome Droopy has? What kind of rediculous backwards logic do you subscribe to? Oh wait, I've read all your other posts...

Watson: I have no idea if Amanda Baggs is autistic or not. I don't really care. I just don't like things like "autism must be diagnosed by 3 or 4 years of age", which is utterly untrue (you have to show signs, but actual diagnosis is not the same as when you show signs) and "Those who are really autistic are diagnosed very young because they have something seriously wrong" which I am finding out increasingly is not true, especially for people with Asperger's Syndrome and those misdiagnosed with other disorders that may effect communication and/or social skills, and particularly "autism was not misdiagnosed by anyone after 1943." That's so ridiculous, it needs no further comment.

With the more of my friends and acquaintences who "come out" as ASD, I am believing less and less in "epidemic" and more and more in "a diagnosis of autism has become associated with shame, disability, and discrimination." My friends who have come forward recently are afriad of losing their jobs if they admit to employers that they have autism. There is a "don't ask, don't tell" sort of attitude towards it in the current workplace. Very strange, since these peopel have been performing fine (at the least) in their jobs, and living independently for years.

When Joey was two, he was completely non-verbal. He is now verbal. He has not been "speaking in sentences for some time" in any regular fashion- in fact, it was so rare as to be extremely noteworthy, and included in "letters home"...

No, Joey is not a major head-banger, or hand-flapper, and his tantrums and meltdowns are very rare. I work had to keep it that way. He works harder. Yes, he went to using breif phrases to regularly using sentences, instead of being completely non-verbal to suddenly speaking in sentences. He ain't Charles Wallace. Does that make our shock and joy less valuable to you? Does that make us less autistic in your eyes? So be it. Nothing I can do about that, really.

We've looked into AIT. Why does everyone automatically assume when someone mentions a problem their child is having, they haven't looked into , or even completed, obvious, relevant therapeutic methodologies. It is a therapy, not a cure- so surprise! we still have processing problems, we're just able to function better. Sorry if you've been lead to believe AIT solves the problem completely. It doesn't. And remember- my kid, according to you, is "mild" (according to his medical and educational teams, he's "moderate").

I have noted several times elsewhere in this blog's comments that Joey's autism was not caused by vaccines. He has always been autistic. We have friends who saw the dramatic regression after vaccines. Autism has no one cause or trigger. So no, Joey was not like your child. He's always been a very happy little guy, except when the frustration with communicating and sensory overload strike. We've worked ahard to support him and keep him a happy, healthy little guy.

As to nitpicking posts and comments, well, have fun. It seems like a fun hobby for a perfectionist, I bet my kid will love it when he gets older.

If you want my opinion of Ms. Baggs, all I can say is I have been to her website. It contains some interesting information. However, her attitude towards other people is not the best. She tends to lump all parents together, so that she comes across as accusing me of abuse of my child, which I do not appreciate. As with any resource, it is important to look at the site with a thoughtful, critical eye. I usually recommend sites that have more information about specific methods and therapies for supporing kids than something like that. I think "Welcome to Holland" is a bit more useful for parents who are trying to cope with the emotional strains of raising a child with disabilities.

Joeymom, let’s get a few things clear.

I did not say that "autism was not misdiagnosed by anyone after 1943”. Kanner’s *paper* was published in 1943.

Nor did I say that "autism must be diagnosed by 3 or 4 years of age", but it's not surprising that people believe that autism must be diagnosed by that age, when what is meant by the term is constantly changing - and seems to have changed considerably since the turn of the century.

Nor did I say that vaccines were the only cause of autism. I have already listed quite a few other causes.

Nor did I say that “AIT solves the problem (auditory processing) completely”. AIT was merely a suggestion.

Nor did I say that your son was mildly autistic. You said so yourself in July last year. And the subject of your son’s degree of autism was only relevant to the point I was trying to make about Ms Baggs.

You said that some people with mild autism would have been missed. I was trying to point out that if Ms Baggs had been even as mildly autistic as your son, she would not have been missed. Would you agree?

Now, you said:
I have no idea if Amanda Baggs is autistic or not. I don't really care.

And yet you say that her attitude towards other people is not the best, and she comes across as accusing you of abusing your child which you don’t appreciate. I think whether Baggs is, and always has been severely autistic, should matter a great deal to all parents of children with autism.

Ms Baggs has become the mouthpiece of the ND movement and, because she looks and behaves like children who are severely disabled with autism, parents are listening to her "Anti-cure, Celebrate Autism" propaganda.

On the subject of your many friends and acquaintances “coming out”: If they are successful in their jobs and living independently, why on earth would they have to, or even want to "come out"? It sounds to me like they are joining the crusade, like the gay movement in the 70s when homosexuals started coming out of the closet and shouting "Me too!”

If people are good at their jobs, who really cares if they are homosexual, nerds or asocial? Obviously, so far, your friends haven't been discriminated against, so why should they bother to mention they've got an ASD or Aspergers?

Does that make our shock and joy less valuable to you? Does that make us less autistic in your eyes?

Not in the least. You are at the beginning of a long, hard road that many parents before you have trodden, and, as one parent of an autistic child to another, you have my utmost sympathy.

That’s why I believe in treatments and therapy, and am anti the ND movement.

I usually recommend sites that have more information about specific methods and therapies for supporing kids than something like that.

Do many parents take umbrage at your recommendations or suggestions, as you did with mine?

Joeymom, *I* am not the enemy, you know. I'm all for curing children with autism.

Try using words. Heard of them? They contain LETTERS put together in the correct order. Can you do that? Can you put the words in the right order?

Obviously not.

So who's the person who can't communicate again? Sure isn't me!

Just in case here's part of it ~

Cho's great-aunt, Kim Yang-soon, said Cho was diagnosed with autism after coming to U.S. in 1992. Speaking from her home in South Korea, she described Cho as "very cold" and said her niece was constantly worried about him.

"Every time I called and asked how he was, she would say she was worried about him," Kim said, according to a translation from the AP. "Who would have known he would cause such trouble, the idiot."

Anonymous said...

Well, well, well - isn't that interesting. Now CNN has removed the word "autism" from the article. It is gone from the introductory paragraph & also the one I posted here. Wanna bet they'll no longer run the video of the old lady saying he was diagnosed with autism?? Here's how the paragraph now reads

Cho's great-aunt, Kim Yang-soon, described Cho as "very cold" and said her niece was constantly worried about him, according to a translation from the AP.

What was common is for autistics to be mis-diagnosed as schizophrenic! That's what happened to Amanda - and it's happened to lots of others as well!

I asked CNN, and they said the translation was incorrect.

Question is - is that the real reason? I guess we'll never know.

I'd bet you wouldn't find one case of a supposedly low functioning autistic adult who could talk fluently until the age 13 and then lost their speech.
I'd bet if you were a fly on the wall in Amandas house you would probably find her and her partner talking normally to each other, discussing what would be the best strategy to get her out of this mess she's made for herself.
And you would probably find Amanda lying in bed awake, worried sick, unable to sleep not knowing what true details of her real life might be revealed tomorrow.

AutismLink Reacts to Diagnosis of Autism in Virginia Tech Shooter

PITTSBURGH, April 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- AutismLink and Autism
Center of Pittsburgh Director Cindy Waeltermann today issued a statement
regarding the recent revelation that Virginia Tech shooter Cho Seung-Hui
was diagnosed with autism as a child.
"While the entire autism community in Pittsburgh and across the nation
are devastated by the recent events at Virginia Tech, we would like to
caution the public not to stigmatize children or individuals with autism.
Cho likely did not receive the help and support that he needed early on --
that is why early intervention is so important, and that is why places like
the Autism Center of Pittsburgh exist. The act of one individual should not
reflect upon the entire autistic population.
It is unfair to blame Cho's actions on autism when he was clearly
psychologically impaired and likely had another disorder in addition to his
autism. His psychological evaluations apparently revealed a dark history
that concluded that he was an imminent danger to himself and others and was
also depressed.
This is a wake up call that stresses the importance of early
intervention, research, and appropriate treatment strategies. Many strides
have been made in autism spectrum disorders and research has consistently
shown that when children receive the help that they need early on they are
more likely to become more adept at social and communication skills.
Autism affects 1 in 150 children and is now the most commonly diagnosed
developmental disability in the world. It is time to recognize autism for
the epidemic it is."

The kids who smear and cannot talk are the ones being harmed the most by the anti-cure/Amanda Baggs crowd.

It seems Amanda, who is now in diapers, was once toilet trained. Once she could speak and now she, apparently, cannot. Once she could walk and now she uses a wheelchair.

How is this even possible?

I have never heard of this type of regression in association with autism. Is it documented anywhere?

Amanda says she has been diagnosed as low functioning. Who the heck would not be if they began using diapers and refused to walk or talk.

Cat Lady said...

ROFL, picturing you in a dress in a wheel chair....

Talking about alzheimers, I've heard that some studies link it to metals collecting in the brain over time. One of the more common ingredients in cosmetics and lotions is titanium dioxide; nice, huh. It makes you wonder what they really put in our foods. Like who knows what all those E400, E200's mean?

It would take a chemist to analyze what all those chemicals really are, sometimes there are 3 different names for the same chemical. MSG has a bad history of that here in Europe; foods were being mislabeled and people that were allergic had no idea they were digesting MSG.

John Best said...

Maxima, I read an article someplace that claimed the drugs they were using to alleviate Alzheimer's symptoms were killing patients much earlier than normal. That's a good plan if they want to knock off the baby boomers quickly to save social security. Fits right in with shoving the flu shot on old people.

One more thing I do not get about Ms Baggs and that is the size of the girl. Looks should not matter and do not matter to me, however, the autistics/Asperger's in my life have food issues. They do not like the texture of this, do not like the taste of that, the smell of something else. Then there are the gut problems. They are slim and the problem has always been keeping the weight on, not gaining out of control like Amanda.

Is it usual for autistics/aspies to be able to eat so much they grow overweight?

Anonymous said...

Joeker,

"Okay, so it's been linked to Aluminum for years... Why does Fore think it's mercury? Bit of a contradiction, confused me."

Try googling "aluminium in vaccines" and you'll get something like this.

"Vancouver neuroscientist Chris Shaw shows a link between the aluminum hydroxide used in vaccines, and symptoms associated with Parkinson’s, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease), and Alzheimer’s...."

Also, from "Mercury on the Mind by Donald W. Miller, Jr., MD"

"We have demonstrated the toxicity of thimerosal by using it to kill neurons in culture. At 50 nanomolar thimerosal the neuron killing capacity/rate is about doubled with the addition of levels of aluminium found in vaccines. The aluminium alone at this level is not demonstrated to be toxic, so it is enhancing the toxicity of the thimerosal. It likely does this by increasing the rate that thimerosal breaks down releasing ethylmercury which is the toxic material"

"synergistic toxicity - mercury's enhanced effect when other poisons are present. A small dose of mercury that kills 1 in 100 rats and a dose of aluminum that will kill 1 in 100 rats, when combined have a striking effect: all the rats die. Doses of mercury that have a 1 percent mortality will have a 100 percent mortality rate if some aluminum is there. Vaccines contain aluminum."

http://www.whale.to/y/aluminium.htm

Please read this link Joeker.
I presume you want to have kids in the future? You should be concerened about vaccines, and exactly what's in them before you even think about trying to "reduce your mercury hypothesis to a quivering puddle."

The US licensed vaccines for children that contain aluminum adjuvants are (3):

DTP (diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine)
DTaP (diphtheria-tetanus-acellular pertussis vaccine)
Some but not all Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b) conjugate vaccines
Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine
Hepatitis B vaccines
All combination DTaP, Tdap, Hib, or Hepatitis B vaccines
Hepatitis A vaccines
Human Papillomavirus vaccine
Anthrax vaccine
Rabies vaccine

A lot of these vaccines used to contain unsafe levels of thimerosal on it's own, but to have thimerosal and aluminium together....

Coming back to the basics, the top comments...

Those who are really autistic are diagnosed very young because they have something seriously wrong. Baggs didn't fit or she would not have been missed. If she had acted the way she does on her videos as a child, she would have been diagnosed by anyone who met her.

I wasn't DXed until I was 8, and only after extensive examinations to determine just what I had. Now, doesn't it say somewhere that Amanda was diagnosed with other things before hand? I seem to recall it being here somewhere... Anyone help to find the conditions she was DXed with before Autism?

Oh, I believe I found something. Schizophrenia. Ctrl+F for schizophrenic or schizophrenia, you'll find some intriguing admittances.

One of which is apparently, Amanda Baggs WAS diagnosed, with Schizophrenia. Maybe cormorbid, maybe mis-diagnosed? Look at facts, find the facts. Truths are of opinion with Fore, as I've found.

After all, some things stand out about Autism, and some are less visible. Some fit a different diagnosis very well. I should know, having been DXed at 8, around ten years ago, and it was a "Which category is best-suited?" question for the final DX.

Mercury isn't the only metal that is neurotoxic. I can't remember who made the comment, but she said that her grandmother was tested for heavy metals and didn't have any. I pointed out that mainstream medicine has been linking aluminum to alzheimers for years. That proves that at least one neurotoxic metal is there. If the body isn't able to rid one metal, it is likely that is isn't able to detox itself from mercury, lead, antimony..etc, either. That is what chelation therapy is for.

Alzheimers is a devastating disease. Could you imagine living your whole life independantly and then suddenly you begin to forget things, then you forget your loved ones, then you forget who you are entirely. It is unfortunate that mainstream medicine knows that aluminum causes alzheimers but does nothing to remove it. The patients just get warehoused until they end up on the hospice unit and die.

I wanted to add something. I think that families with tendencies towards autism spectrum issues need to be educated on the inherent weaknesses that tend to co-exist in this group. They need to do this so they can learn to protect their offspring from damage. My family is one of those families and I will educate my children on how to protect their children and protect their own future health. My husband and I, we both have spectrum type issues of different sorts, so we are having our amalgam fillings removed and are going to do chelation also.

Anonymous said...

Make no mistake, Anon, I'm a bitch when I wanna be. You have anger issues, so what does that make you, a rage-a-holic or an asshole.

Chelation therapy is for removing all sorts of metals. Since you are not educated on chelation therapy, then I figure you are not educated on how to detect whether someone is metal toxic or not.

Anonymous said...

Joeker,

I'm pretty sure you were missed because you were highly intellegent and probably very verbal.

Amanda is claiming she is a non-verbal, low functioning autistic person. You don't miss that kind of behavior in small children. If my daughter was dx'd at 3 after 1/2 an hour, and she is verbal, nobody was missing Amanda's alleged issues. Schizophrenia is usually very rare in children. A low functioning, non verbal person, if they were missed for an autism diagnosis, would have been likely diagnosed with mental retardation or some kind of developmenetal disability. Low functiong presentations are much easier to spot. If she is acting the way she portrays in her videos, then she was likely much more affected as a child, as most people on the spectrum are; if we are to believe her story. Nobody is going to miss that. Childhood schizophrenia is very rare. Most schizophrenic onsets occur in teens into the 30's.

I believe Amanda is suffering from a disorder however. It is called Munchausen Syndrome. It is a disorder in which the person fakes an illness or psychiatric disorder in order to get attention. Some people with Munchausen will put themselves through some extraordinary circumstances, like painful testing or they will do things to make themselves ill, in order to prove their alleged condition. As the token low functioning adult who can function quite well, she is the perfect ND poster child for low functioning autism. She can write essays on disability rights, buy her own diapers and make videos of herself stimming with water. What could be better. Now that low functioning problem group is all solved. Amanda is the hero and spokesperson, and she gets all kinds of attention that she craves.

Droopy;
I just wanted to say that on reading a certain blog several months ago, by a well known autism advocate who at the time made allegations claiming that they were being accused of 'stealing your identity', I believed they were fabricating an elaborate story to cover up their lies, and to gain public sympathy and support.

This person has 'allegedly', attempted to steal YOUR identity, using the best form of defence, which is attack.

I and many others BELIEVE YOU.
I only wish that others who visit this blog and this particular post, would voice their support by reassuring you that although there may always two sides to a story, they believe yours to be the truth.

Jonsmum, Droopy may opt not to comment here but she is reading. It is best that she does not give any scumbag lawyers any ammunition with which to attack her.

I understand.

Droopy, if you are reading this, I hope everything works out right for you.
BTW, John Lennon was and always will be my favourite Beatle.

Droopy, you have my support too. There are others of us who were not snowed by intricately woven stories.

I don't know much about Droopy, but I did read the "identity theft" stories on Ms Baggs's blog. At this point I do not believe a word that woman says. I think she is bilking the system while playing the victim. I've met others like her with invented disorders who take money from social services that they are not entitled to. It makes me sick when there are so many genuinely diabled people who need support. If Ms. Baggs was truly as autistic as she claims she would not be so savvy at getting the system to work for her.

Anonymous, you are right on the money. I don't even know developmentally disabled adults who are higher functioning than she claims to be who know how to work the system the way she does. I have though seen adults who have had to live within the system for a long time learn how to manipulate people around them to get what they want. Usually the ones who are very manipulative, are those who have mental illnesses as opposed to developmental delays.

I have heard that Amanda and her lawyer have a case all lined up and almost ready to go. Expect to hear from her very soon, Foreskin! If the rumour is true.

Maybe you should just shut your mouth. Or get yourself a medical degree pretty damn quick!

Anon, I doubt any lawyer would actually bring a fraud into court and expose her to questioning. She'd look pretty foolish taking the fifth ammendment while trying to prove that anything that was said about her was not true.
What would happen if she lost? Would CNN apologize for using her to scam the general public? That would give national exposure to the fact that neurodiversity is a complete sham. No, I don't think they want that.

ROFLOL!!! Do you know how silly it sounds for someone to be entering into a lawsuit against people on the internet.

To borrow a line from Shakespear, "The lady doth protest too much, methinks."
