Dr Andrew Moulden, Real or Not Real

When I first heard of Dr Moulden, the information he claimed to have seemed to enhance our knowledge about how vaccines caused autism. He claimed that autism was caused by micro vascular strokes that were caused when too many white blood cells attacked the vaccine ingredients and clogged the capillaries, depriving them of oxygen and killing tiny parts of the brain (or something like that).

He had a website called Amass network that was a jumble of ads to sell books and videos that asked for money just to be able to look at the rest of the website. He also had some screwball videos where he looked like a guy selling used cars. However, the words he spoke in those videos sounded legitimate. He allegedly had the proof that all vaccines, not just the ones with thimerosal, caused autism.

Now, he has a different website called brainguardmd.com where he talks about how aluminum is more dangerous than mercury as a cause of autism and how more aluminum has been added to the vaccines as mercury has been lessened. He also has links to Paul Offit lying about autism on some videos and has added more chapters to (I guess) what will be an online book that will eventually tell us all how to cure autism based on his findings. The chapter about the cure still doesn't say anything. Maybe he has some answers or maybe it's some great scam, who knows.

Anyhow, I went to the brainguardmd.com website using webwarper and this is what I saw where a video was supposed to be.
ActiveX was removed by WebWarper antivirus "" plugin was removed by WebWarper antivirus
I can't tell if Moulden is trying to give everyone a virus by visiting his site or the video was somehow infected without his knowledge. All I know for sure is that I'll keep using webwarper if I go there again to see if he ever divulges this mysterious cure he claims to have.

I make no claim as to whether anything Dr Moulden says is useful or not. I discussed him earlier and linked to his videos here a few of months ago so I'm just tossing this out as an update.

I did upload a couple of pictures of my son that Dr Moulden claimed would be analyzed at no cost back in October. I never heard back from him so I tend to think he's just some sort of deranged fraud that is giving out bogus information. As much bogus information as exists regarding autism, I have no idea why anyone would do this. Just a report on my experience for those who may have followed this story in the fall.

I think the truth about Dr Moulden may be obtained by checking with Rick Neubrander, Dr James Neubrander's brother. I learned from a reliable source that Rick, for some unknown reason, likes to lie about Dr Moulden on a forum that I have been banned from. I learned that Rick tried to claim Dr Moulden attended this conference in China in December to discuss vaccine safety. As you can see by clicking on the link however, Dr Moulden's name is nowhere to be found. Prior to the conference, there was a website that looked the same as this one that did have Dr Moulden's name there. Once the conference was begun though, Moulden's name could not be found. Moulden had stuck a letter on his old website that had him begging for funds to attend this conference so, maybe he was too broke to attend. Whatever the truth is, it seems Mr Neubrander must know something if he is willing to lie about the facts here. Rick Neubrander is not very honest when questions are asked of him. He normally just refuses to answer. I would advise bringing a vial of truth serum if anyone cares to ask Rick to let us in on what he actually knows about all of this.

To the nitwit from Knightdale, North Carolina "you're" would have been the proper usage, not "your" in your anonymous insult. Please work on your grammar.

Hi man,
Long time no write.
My son is doing great on the Lupron protocol, we have been on it for ~32 months. We chelated ~1 month with Dmsa and ~2 with DMPS though we never really got a very good pull with either, maybe we didn't do it long enough or high enough dosage. And we are waiting for OSR.
Meanwhile Kiddo turns 6 day after tommorow, and is beating all his IEP goals though I think the teachers are afraid to put big step goals in there. I can clearly see him losing the label in 2-3 years.
Cool.

Seshadri,
Glad to hear your son's doing well. As you can see here, there is no shortage of insanity in the morass that is the world of autism.

Glad to hear, Srinath.

My daughter will be six years old next month and is still quite low-functioning, unfortunately. She doesn't speak and is not toilet-trained although her school says she is using PECs more consistently. We have been doing biomed since last July. We are cleaning up her gut with antifungal therapy and the SCD diet (she has had horrid yeast infections all her life since she was a small baby) and the dark circles have disappeared from under her eyes and she looks healthier. We start B-12 injections next month.

What kind of chelation protocol do you guys use? My daughter tested high in both lead and mercury on a porphyrin test and her DAN! doesn't want to chelate right now but I am wondering if I shouldn't go ahead and look into it. I know they say the gut has to be cleaned up first, but sometimes I wonder if chelating first will clean the gut up and keep it that way.

PBS,
I can't say for sure that chelating fixed my son's gut but, without using anything designed to heal the gut, my son's constipation vanished about two months into chelating. That was four years ago and his gut has been fine ever since.

PBS - BTW I hate starbucks, I love coffee just hate starbucks, anyway ...
We did lupron for ~32 months so far, took us ~8 months to get the doseage, then once in a while he'd still read high on testosterone. But We dont do dailies any more, We do androcur, aldactone and bi weekly depot shots. Our chelation has been very light. We are now probably going to do a good bit of OSR.
We did biomed for over 3 years. Just about 3 yrs really, B12 we did shots for 2 yrs, stopped for a few months then went to sub Q, we are on GFCF for 3 yrs, and essentially we started when he was 3. He was always a sharp kid, just non vocal. He now will do a good bit of spontaneous as well as some repetetive speech. He also got potty trained in the span of a month ~ 18 months ago, Biomed has just been amazing though we belive we started out with one smart kid. I fully expect to be like the dad of numbers in a few years, when he turns out to be a genius mathematician.
He was high in testosterone which we just about barely got back in control, however if I dont tell people usually they cannot tell he's autistic. Lupron pretty much builds glutathione and gets hios bode detoxing by itself, he actually had normal glutathione for a few labs till the last 2 when it just dropped under normal ~4 months ago. Hence we had to adjust his androcur dose.
Anyway, I cannot recomend Lupron enough for any one well under puberty. Starting it when he was 3.5 - its really worked well I think.
BTW I got diagnosed as autistic too and not by me, by mental health svcs of NC. And I made it through engineering school without getting too much trouble. I also rated worse than my son in their test. He was @37 I was 32. So screw that, I think you need to back your kids up 100%. My parents did not, it was almost like they knoew somehting was up with me and they backed away sorta. Dont do that. Your kid will exactly live up to the expectations you place on them till they start to place the expectations on themselves and they then live up to it. Dont say she will have to settle for being a clerk at walgreens because they hire autistics. Say that she will be an software engineer because that job requires very little people skills and just brain power. I skate by everyday handing out insults due to my lack of tact but no one refutes my statements cos they are due to deep research and knowledge. I also hand out very un tactful motorcycle advice on gstwin.com almost calling people Idiots and morons on a daily basis. I'm sorry some people are stupid and calling them that just helps out the whole world.
Cool.
Srinath.

The virus was likely put there by a political hot dogging hacker. Andrew Moulden is a member of a crank political party in Canada. Can't recall it's name.

Srinath,

Great post, thanks, you certainly are cool! And a great dad; your son is lucky to have you.

I know what you mean about calling out the idiots of the world. That's how I got hooked on this blog! Heh, heh! It does just that!

I wondered if I was the only autism parent out there who thought the neurodiversity people were nutty for attacking the so-called "evil biomed parents" like myself. Then I found this blog and realized I wasn't alone!

I actually read back through some of the archives and looked at some of the comments from the ND people and quickly realized that they were as weird as I suspected and to just ignore them, that my daughter is not going to hate me for trying to recover her the way they insist she will@@.

Calling the Idiots - Its what I also call the "American Idol" syndrome. For every 10 or 20 people that do deserve to be in the real competetion, there is a whole stadium full of clowns just adding to the static.
Too much worthless static cluttering up the little useful information.
I actually am not a very good father or husband. My wife has found that the autism explains a lot. I dunno if my son will ever work himself out of that. I am almost certain he will turn out to be very productive in what ever he does. In a way my wife sees him as more autistic than I do.
The important thing though to remember, people will always land where your expectations of them are. Almost a certainity.
Cool.
Srinath.

Srinath said...

Also I have noticed that Dr Neubrander tends to be leaning towards a very very light treatment method for autism. Not at all aggressive.
Cool.
Srinath.

John Best said...

Neubrander probably just wants to keep those patients coming back to collect fees.

Hey I had a question, hope someone can post and let me know.
We accidentally gave a little gluten to our son who has been GFCF for 2+ years. What are the symptoms. He seems if anything, calmer and more like ... less echolalic. However it only has been 1 hour.
Cool.
Srinath.

John Best said...

Seshadri,
Any reaction from the gluten? Maybe the healing process has eliminated that as a problem by now?

Srinath said...

He seemed less chatty, but didn;t act zoned out. He pooped less, a lot less. Otherwise he was the same way he always is. He didn't act anything off that he has not done before.
However I have long contended we only have a very partially autistic kid. He's high symptom but not high sensitivity. Like if somehting bothers him he will scream till that offending item is removed. Kinda like me, but he's not sensitive to foods or have allergies. Also like me. I dont know of anything I am allergic to or even makes me act funny. I dont even think he's that sensitive to casein. We're GFCF but the rewards are very very minimal.
Anyway, we're back on the wagon now.
And call me Srinath john. seshadri is my last name.
Cool.
Srinath.

John Best said...

Srinath,
Sorry for my ignorance about your name.
I tried some stuff that was supposed to nullify effects of casein but it didn't make any difference. He was never bothered by any foods before he became autistic so I never thought it could have been a factor.

Srinath said...

Its alright about my name.
Anyway he finally pooped. Bad constipation. I dont think he's showing any ill effects now.
Cool.
Srinath.

Hey. I just want to respond about the possible accusations about Dr. Moulden. I know this man personally, I am affiliated with the Vaccine Injury Coalition which he is a part of. This man travels and does seminars on this discussion. He is DEFINATELY real. There is no sort of virus, within any video online if one person doesn't like it, they can report it and have it removed. However, if you go look www.brainguardmd.com the video is there, which means that once it was removed for whatever reason it was examined and approved back up for the site. He is a wonderful man. I'm sorry he didn't examine your sons pictures. The thing is that he is probably the busiest person I know. Due to the overwhelming response of parents, unfortunately, some are overlooked. Not on purpose. If you have facebook search Jessica@vacinfo.org and add me. Dr. Moulden has a facebook as well.

Thanks,
Jessica

As far as I'm concerned, Moulden is just an asshole con artist.

Dr. Moulden speaks the truth, my friends. I suggest everyone to do some honest research on the topic of vaccines. You will find the truth soon enough and then you'll stop throwing insults at people who are incredibly more knowledgable and conscious than you are. I don't want to be rude but some people really need to investigate things on their own and stop acting like sheeps waiting to be slaughtered.

Frank,
It's always nice to have some shills show up to defend psy ops liars.
How come an English major like me can cure autism though and "Dr" Moulden can't do that?
And Frank, you don't need to add an "s" to sheep to pluralize it. Send a more intelligent shill the next time, will you?

This quack, Andrew Moulden, is more interested in making a buck than telling the truth. I heard him several weeks ago on Coast to Coast With George Nori and could not believe his "scientific"" nonsense. The gold standard will always be peer reviewed, double-blind placebo controlled studies subject to meta-analysis.

I suggest reading this medical blog by an actual board certified MD PhD more interested in informing the public than making a buck: http://scienceblogs.com/insolence/

John Best said...

Michael,
Orac is also a quack who advocates shooting mercury into babies. Don't they teach you that mercury causes autism in Med school yet?

I actually just got home from a Dr. Moulden conference here in Calgary Alberta. I did feel that he was more or less trying to sell himself as opposed to fight a cause. It was all about him him him and what he knows. Mercury does cause damage to the nervous system however he was taking it a bit far with the photo comparison thing. No one is perfectly semitrical.

John Best said...

How much does Moulden charge for his conferences now? Who else spoke with him? He hangs around with some real lowlifes.

i'm a relative of his. our whole family knows that he is highly intelegent and almost human...........when he's on his meds. this answer some questions?
