Autism, Vaccination and Neurodiversity - A Timeline: Part 2

I've been waiting for over a week for a response from Nine.

Will Nine like other ND advocates duck for cover as soon as the tricky questions are asked, or is he or she still searching for answers?

At Sat Aug 11, 12:13:00 AM PDT, Nine said...

"Actually, anti-cure ideas and advocacy to move away from a disorder model of autism were around prior to 1999. Jim Sinclair's essay "Don't Mourn for Us" (url http://web.syr.edu/%7Ejisincla/dontmourn.htm) was written in 1993.

Who does s/he mean by "Us"?

What strikes me about Jim Sinclair's website is that s/he discusses intersexuality in great detail and what growing up as an intersexed person was like for him/her but spends no time at all talking about his/her own experience as a child growing up with autism. The only hint that s/he might have had autism as a child is when s/he says that aside from her intersexuality s/he "had some severe developmental communication and other problems", which s/he doesn't dwell on. I find that curious.

Although s/he is often referred to as a person with Asperger's Syndrome, from what I have read, s/he had no formal autism diagnosis in 1988.

I get the impression from this article and others that as a child and as a teenager, s/he felt misunderstood, rejected and unloved, and that s/he is speaking primarily about him/herself as an intersexed person having undergone - against his/her will - several painful and useless treatments to remedy his/her physical 'difference'.

The problem with that, of course. is that his being born an intersexed person could not be changed, cured or treated, and parents of such a child have no choice but to accept their condition.

The bottom line is that Jim Sinclair did not have autism as a child, and he is not, and never will be, a parent trying to cope everyday with a severely autistic child.

Nine, Can you find another pre-1999 anti-cure article from an autism advocate other than Sinclair?

"Autism Network International was founded in 1992, and activities leading up to its founding date back to the late 1980s (url http://web.syr.edu/~jisincla/History_of_ANI.html). 1999 might have been the year that the term 'neurodiversity' was coined, but the movement to advocate away from the disorder view of autism has existed well before 1999.

I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong here.

Donna Williams, Jim Sinclair and Kathy Lissner founded Autism Network International in 1992.

Donna Williams

Donna Williams was an emotionally deprived, abused and neglected child - "a disturbed child", who lived as three people - a male (Willie), a female (Carol), and herself (Donna)- for twenty-five years before her autism diagnosis. In 1990, in her mid-twenties and after gaining an honors degree in sociology, and writing her first book, she was described as "autistic" by Dr Laurie Bartak.

I have not been able to find out if Donna was ever actually given an autism diagnosis, although she described herself as a high-functioning autistic which, after the DSM_IV came out in 1994, would be the equivalent of Asperger's Syndrome. She did not have a diagnosis of autism of any kind when she wrote her book.

After it was published with the word "autistic" in the title, she was accused of fraud by people who knew her well. She has become an autism consultant, author of several books , script-writer, film maker, and she is a sought-after speaker at autism conferences all over the world.

Jim Sinclair

Jim Sinclair was born in 1965. S/he is referred to as a person with Asperger's Syndrome.

S/he has a B.A. in Psychology and graduate education in Developmental and Child Psychology, and a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counselling. S/he is described as a dynamic and sought-after speaker at autism conferences.

I don't know when s/he was diagnosed with Aspergers, but growing up as an inter-sexed person, treated as a girl until s/he was twelve, and then as a boy, must have been exceptionally difficult.

Kathy Lissner

Kathy Lissner, born 1965, was raped and sexually abused as a young child. She gained a degree in Political Science in her twenties and she was officially diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome in 1994, at the age of 28, - although some sites say that she was diagnosed in 2001, at the age of 36 - having referred to herself as an "autistic" person, and having spoken as "an autistic", on behalf of "autistics", since 1988.

The ARI was founded by three highly-intelligent, high-functioning people with traumatic pasts who met in 1992 while Donna Williams was promoting her first book 'Nobody Nowhere: Autobiography of an Autistic Girl' at autism conferences. All are writers and all became self-appointed autism advocates.

I understand they were joined by Wendy Lawson.

Wendy Lawson was diagnosed, also, curiously, by Dr Laurie Bartak, with an "Autism Spectrum Disorder" in 1994, at the age of 42, after 24 years as a schizophrenic. She has five university degrees. She has written many books and is a qualified counsellor, social worker and psychologist. She was married with several children, and now lives with her lesbian partner.

Dr Laurie Bartak who diagnosed both Donna Williams and Wendy Lawson has said that abused and emotionally deprived children show autistic-like behaviours, and that these disappear entirely when the children are moved to more supportive and loving environments.

Dr Michael Rutter found that Romanian orphans with autism "recovered with reasonable foster care in Britain".

Dr Bartak, Senior Lecturer of Education at Monash University in Victoria, and one of Australia’s best-known authorities on autism with 40-plus years in the field, has said that environmental factors play a part in the development of some autism. Both he and Michael Rutter know that some children with autistic symptoms recover completely when their environment is changed.

Looking at these advocates, do you think that their autistic symptoms could have stemmed from their early traumatic lives and turbulent pasts?

Jim Sinclair, Donna Williams, Kathy Lissner, Wendy Lawson and others may very well have talked amongst themselves and decided to promote greater awareness and understanding of autism, and acceptance of people with autism by the community, but it was only after a link with vaccines had been made that any idea of acceptance of the disorder itself became known to parents of children with autism.

As far as I know, Kathy Grant and Wendy Lawson have not spoken against treatment. Thomas McKean certainly hasn't. Donna Williams herself uses diet and biomed. And even Jim Sinclair has said that s/he is not against intervention for behaviours that "intrude on other people's boundaries".

Although it is quite true that Sinclair wrote "Don't Mourn for Us" in 1993, the article reached my mailbox in 1999. There's that pivotal year, again. That's apparently when it was widely circulated around parent-run autism support groups and e-lists. Parents of children with regressive-autism after vaccination were outraged. They were indeed mourning for a child that they had lost, and they were searching for a cure.

If a child is born with a physical malformation, born with brain damage or born with a genetic disorder which interferes with normal brain development, one can understand why advocates who themselves were born with a physical difference would plead for acceptance, particularly after they'd endured several unsuccessful operations designed to remedy their difference.

However when a normally-developing child is brain-injured in an accident or after an encephalitis, or by a vaccine-induced encephalopthy causing organic brain damage, and they develop symptoms of brain-injury, parents do mourn for the child they have lost and desperately want to put things right.

Many parents in the 80s and 90s were mourning. They knew what had happened to their children, and they wanted to recover the children they'd lost.

In 2002, the first World Autism Congress gathered in Melbourne, Australia. and was attended by 1500 scientists, doctors, autism case workers and parents, "all absorbed in finding causes and treatments for the mystery disorder".

Both Donna Williams and Wendy Lawson were speakers, along with Temple Grandin. The first two we gather were described as "autistic" by Dr Laurie Bartak - at the ages of 26 and 46 respectively. Grandin, on the other hand, was diagnosed with autism in very early childhood. Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders also participated in online chat room discussions.

Why do you think that the very first World Autism Congress was held in 2002?

Why do you think Dr Laurie Bartak "found himself hosing down spot-fires threatening to engulf some of his most eminent guests"?

Why do you think sparks were flying?

And, do you think that the parents attending that meeting had speech-delayed toddlers or quirky children?

Autism, Vaccination and Neurodiversity - A Timeline

Disclaimer: "Although I believe that vaccines caused the autism epidemic of the 90s, I do not believe that all autism is caused by vaccines. Autism is a syndrome, a group of symptoms, that can follow brain injury. Vaccines can cause encephalitis, and the symptoms of post-encephalitic syndrome are identical to autism. I do not believe that the thimerosal/mercury in vaccines is the only culprit. Reducing the amount of thimerosal in vaccines will not make vaccines safe. Removing thimerosal entirely will not make vaccines safe. Vaccines are full of chemicals that should not be pumped ad nauseam into human bodies without any prior research on what these chemicals do, or which organs they target and affect. "

Autism, Vaccination and Neurodiversity - A Timeline
by "Watson"

There is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that the Neurodiversity movement is being supported by our governments and BigPharma. They know very well that many children were damaged by vaccines in the 1990s and, for once, there was an unacceptable number of casualties.

They have always regarded a few casualties as an acceptable trade-off - that's where "the benefit of vaccination outweighs the risks" comes from. The "benefit" they are referring to is not just the supposed benefit to an individual child, it is the supposed benefit to the entire population. The "risk" is to the child. So the slogan should read, "The benefit of vaccination to the population outweighs the risk to your baby." They are putting babies one at a time in the balance. And they really don't care about individual babies. Our babies.

So they had a real problem when worldwide tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands of parents, like myself, witnessed their babies, toddlers and young children react to vaccines, sometimes severely as my son did, then lose their ability to communicate and go on to develop a cluster of symptoms, defined as autism, and diagnosed as "autism". There was no explanation given for our children's loss in development. They said it was called regressive-type autism that "just happens sometimes". There was no cause. Autism was not a known result of vaccination, therefore "autism" following vaccination, despite severe reactions, was not a known injury and would not be compensated.

Now the first and only priority has always been to protect the Immunisation Programme - at all costs. Even Jenner did it. When children and adults got smallpox despite being appropriately vaccinated, Jenner said that they would have had a much, much worse case of pox if they hadn't been vaccinated, or worse, they would have died. When children became severely ill after smallpox vaccination, or were brain-damaged, or died, 'something else' was always blamed. Vaccination couldn't be associated with failure to protect, injury or death.

Nothing has changed.

Except in the nineties, it was no longer the case of a child sacrificed here and there, and parents believing that their child was one of the unlucky 'one in a million' damaged by vaccines. With the Internet, parents of vaccine-injured children all over the world could now 'meet' and compare notes - and together, try to find out exactly what it was in the vaccines that had caused their children's problems so that they might recover their children.

Faced with many, many children damaged by vaccines, what were vaccine manufacturers and governments mandating those vaccines to do? Parents would lose confidence in vaccination, and that couldn't be allowed to happen.

Fearmongering was one strategy: "If fewer people immunise their children, there will be outbreaks of KILLER DISEASES. Children will DIE!"

And the other was to change attitudes towards autism.

Now, how were they going to do that?

Prior to 1999, few books had been written about the syndrome, all but two that I can think of were written from a parents' perspective, and they were read mostly by parents of children with autism, not the general public who knew next to nothing, if anything at all, about the disorder. Most had never even heard the word. Temple Grandin's 'Emergence: Labeled Autistic' was the first, published in 1986. Then in 1991 Donna Williams' book appeared.

I think it's important for people to realise that Donna did not write 'Nobody Nowhere' as an autistic person writing about autism. At the time of writing, she didn't have a diagnosis of autism. It was her autobiography, but its original title was "Dolly; autobiography of a disturbed child". Donna says that it was packaged by the publishers as 'Nobody Nowhere: Autobiography of an Autistic Girl', as if she had no idea at the time that "autistic girl" was going to be in its finished title.

Then after the thimerosal-autism link started to surface Jasmine O'Neill wrote her book, published in 1999 - 'Through the Eyes of Aliens: A Book about Autistic People'. She claimed to have very severe Kanner's autism and to be a savant in writing, music and art. She was an elective mute. This was the very first book to mention "celebration" and "beauty" in connection with autism, and the one that became Amanda Baggs' bible.

Not long afterwards, O'Neill flew off to settle in Hawaii with "the love of her life". She moved on.

In the same year 1999, an association was made between autism and genius. Speculative articles appeared such as, "Was Einstein Autistic?", followed by articles such as The Little Professor Syndrome, New York Times Magazine, June 18, 2000.

Frank Klein, then aged 29, apparently read the article which he said "explained everything" and led him a year later to Pittsburgh University and a diagnosis of High Functioning Autism.

He then set up his "Asperger's Advocacy" website which he later changed to "Autism Advocacy" when he said he realized he was more High Functioning than an Aspie. And, amongst other articles, such as, "Don't Cure Autism Now!" and "The Truth of The Myth of The Lack of Autism Recovery", he wrote "Autism, Genius and Greatness".

Then after four years of advocacy, he moved on.

In the meantime Judy Singer coined the word "Neurodiversity" and linked autism to "Nerds Wierdos, and OddBalls" in 1999.

Autistics.org was created by Laura Tisoncik, and Amanda Baggs joined her in 1999/2000.

Then Baron-Cohen's Aspie quizzes appeared, and screening for autism and Aspergers in younger and younger children began. The idea of an ASD which soon became "Autism" was extended to include any toddler with speech delay or shyness, and any shy or socially awkward teen with special interests.

Jim Laidler the ex-DAN! doctor who posted on autism support forums that his two sons had been damaged by vaccines and how they had made great progress after chelation - which is why Dr Rimland chose him to write the DAN! position paper on Mercury Detoxification of Autistic Children in 2001 - turned Judas a year later and joined Quackwatch, starting up his own branch of the organization named Autism-Watch. He had recanted and returned to the fold. Had he ever really left?

In 2002 Edan, diagnosed with Aspergers in 2001, created the website "Aspergia".

He writes:

"At school they are often viewed as normal children, if a little awkward or introverted but childhood and adolescence are such turbulent years anyway that many AMs (Aspergian Mutants) are missed completely". "AM children often develop some special powers too."

"When AM (Aspergian Mutant) individuals combine their strong personal focus with their special power, they have an extraordinary potential to contribute to society and develop new and striking inventions and works of art or science. Further research is required in the field of history to find out how many central innovative figures in human history did indeed have Aspergian traits."

In 2004 Edan moved on.

Bonnie Ventura, and many others, who found Edan's site about "Aspergians", and as a self-identified "Aspergian", jumped on board with her ideas, for one - a site for science fiction writers, which generated much more online Aspie traffic.

The idea that a cure for autism would lead to abortion of autistic fetuses and genocide of a whole race (a superior race - the next step in human evolution) was brilliant! It had anti-abortionists and minority groups up-in-arms, and had, and still has, many people who know a child with an ASD concerned, and self-diagnosed Aspies quaking in their boots.

In 2004, the "Aspies for Freedom" forum was created by Amy and Gareth Nelson, which has the wholehearted support of Simon Baron-Cohen and Tony Attwood, the UK and Australasian autism experts.

In the same year, Kathleen Seidel's undoubtedly pro-vaccination, Neurodiversity.com sprang into action with links to Stephen Barrett's Quackwatch and Laidler's Autism-Watch - which has links back to Neurodiversity.com, Autism Diva and other ND sites and blogs. Simon Baron-Cohen is in touch with Seidel, and he has praised her for her efforts. This year in the March edition of the British Medical Journal he said, "I'm very impressed by the scholarship in the neurodiversity.com website".

Now the word "autism" appears regularly in our newspapers, often linked with genius and giftedness. There must be literally hundreds of books about autism, many of them written by "autistics" or parents of "autistics" who are painting an entirely different picture of autism. I hear that Uta Frith and Simon Baron Cohen have enthusiastically supported "autistic" authors.

We have certainly come a long way since 1988 and the movie Rainman. Aspies today are surprised when they discover that the character, Raymond Babbit, was inspired by the life of the real autistic-savant Kim Peek, and that at the time Kim Peek was regarded as a high-functioning autistic.

Since 1999, several films have been made, and others are on the way, such as the Jason McElwain Movie, all depicting a different kind of autism that wasn't familiar even ten years ago.

Ten years ago, who would have guessed that the president of the USA would be photographed with an autistic basketball player? Who then could have imagined that a young man with autism would be able to play basketball - a fast-paced team sport, with the high-level activity and noise that the game entails?

Since 1999, the face of autism has been and is being deliberately changed.

Let's return to 1999. By that time, the rate of autism had climbed to 1 in 166, and many parents of children with regressive autism were waiting impatiently for the rate of autism to drop after the removal of thimerosal from vaccines. They knew it would take a few years, but they were sure that it would happen. To see a decline in the rate would have been positive proof that a substance repeatedly injected into children's bodies had damaged their brains. Unfortunately, for us and our children, that could never be allowed to happen.

The numbers kept rising, and are still rising. Last month Simon Baron-Cohen announced that autism now affects 1 in 58 children.

To the public that means that 1 in 58 children have autism. They don't. Simon Baron-Cohen knows that 1 in 58 children don't have autism. It is a deliberate deception to keep the rate of "Autism" skyrocketing in the public eye.

Joe and Jane Public read their newspaper, see the numbers rising, and completely dismiss the idea that vaccines cause autism. Their doctor has assured them that vaccines are safe, and warned them that without vaccination their baby could die or be severely brain-damaged from "a preventable disease". They've also read that Einstein, Michelangelo and Jane Austin had autism, and they've heard that autistic children are highly intelligent, gifted, and might even have special powers. They wonder what all the fuss is about. There's no question that they will vaccinate their baby.

O'Neill, Edan and Klein have moved on. How many of the current Neurodiversity activists will move on and get on with their lives, leaving their advocacy behind? Parents don't just advocate for their children with autism for a few years and move on. They can't. It's a life-time commitment.

What was and is the Neurodiversity movement's real aim? Looking at the timeline, what do you think?

What Does Neurodiversity Say About Amanda Baggs?

If we added an elf hat to this thing, is that how Amanda pictures herself?

It looks like Neurodiversity doesn't want to say anything about Amanda Baggs. They must be afraid to defend a fraud. With all the evidence that has been published here, one would think that the leaders of the neuroinsane would come to the defense of their allegedly autistic spokesmodel.

Nope, the nitwits are silent. As viciously as the Neuronitwits attacked Droopy for her exposition of Baggs by sicking a lawyer on an actual autistic woman, one would think they would try the same tactic here. But, no threatening letters from Neuronitwit lawyers have arrived. I don't think you can sue someone for publishing factual statements. If you could sue someone for quote mining, Kathleen Seidel and Kevin Leitch would be broke.

Perhaps the ND's are hoping I'll shut up and go away if they don't respond. Haha, not likely. It's kind of nice to be able to criticize this pack of wacked out weirdos without any of them bothering me.

Neurodiversity claims to seek respect for autistic people. Yet, here they are putting up a new age LSD using hippy who thinks she's an elf as their most visible spokesperson. Is that the image they wish to convey for themselves? I don't think they'll gain much respect from anyone when their mouthpiece is having hallucinations about conversations with elves.

Dec 7 1997,

Galiganinda Dulin First I'm going to say that I -know- what this sounds like. Then I'm going to say that it's not like that, this time. Yesterday I was on a long car ride, staring out the window. The Others suddenly told me that they would be relaying messages from the elves I used to live with (and be one of). I knew they couldn't lie, but I thought they might be being deceived themselves. But then again, they know everything. In this universe. Maybe the elves were in another universe. All sorts of thoughts were flying through my head. But I said, okay, what do they want to tell me? They said that I had indeed lived with them. But I knew that. Then they said that in this life when I took acid they were able to get through to me because it changed my... and they said something that I couldn't figure out at all, but it had to do with sensitivity to different realms of reality (I think). Then they said that, like certain forms of magic, acid takes its toll on the user. They said that I was wise to give it up. They said that now that I had discovered the Others I would be able to talk to them, sometimes. I said something like, "Okay, but I have to know you're really real. Do something to prove that you're real." They didn't answer, but immediately a song that I had never heard came on the radio. It had to do with travel between different universes. So I believed them. Then they sort of misquoted Yeats: Come away, O elven child To the woods and waters wild Reunited with your band For the world's more full of weeping Than you can understand I got excited, but said, "Okay, that first thing might have been a coincidence. Give me another sign." I didn't really expect them to do it. Then the driver turned the car on again and the first words out of the radio are, "Trust I seek and I find in you." Now I really believed them. "Are there any other elves in this world?" "We can't tell you that." "Why not?" "Because it would disturb what is going to happen. We can't interfere." "Well take me to your world now then!" "We can't do that." "Why not?" "It's not time yet." "But..." "We'll give you one glimpse of our world. You will see trees as we see trees." Well now every time I look at a tree, there is a new, but very old in my mind, quality to it. I can't really describe it. I tried to stick my hand in one, but that didn't work (I was able to do that in the elf world). Anyway, I'm really excited and happy to be given this chance to see part of that world again.

Anna Salamon Defends Amanda Baggs, Weakly

Someone claiming to be Anna Salamon, an old friend of Amanda Baggs, showed up here to defend Baggs' questionable autism diagnosis. So far, Salamon has not responded to Watson's challenge which follows.

watson said...
Anna, Thank you for responding.

Let's be clear. 'Past, Present and Future' was written by Amanda to give an adult face to low-functioning autism, and to speak vociferously against any intervention and treatment for autism - on behalf of all low-functioning children with autism.

In this piece Amanda gives the impression that she was at one time a low-functioning child with autism. That her speech didn't make a lot of sense, that she was not toilet-trained, that she banged her head on walls and ripped her hair out in clumps.

That is not true, is it, Anna?

I mean, presumably, at age 12, when you were discussing conformity vs non-conformity, it wasn't one-sided, with you doing all the talking and Amanda sitting in the corner, virtually bald, banging her head on the wall, and talking nonsense.

Presumably she had actually read the Tao Te Ching that she lent you - and she hadn't just sniffed and rubbed the pages against her face.

Amanda gives the impression that she had ABA and that although at times she was rewarded, she was more often than not, tortured, beaten, punished, and in this horrific way she was taught to speak. "Non-communicative echolalia".

That is not true. Is it, Anna?

That even though they tried to teach her to use the toilet they failed, and at the time of writing the article at the age of 24, she "STILL" soiled her clothes.

That also is not true. Is it, Anna?

She was using the toilet appropriately at 12, wasn't she? According to Amanda, she had been fully toilet-trained before she was three years old.

Perhaps you can tell me why after being brutally treated, and having watched other children with autism "thrown on the ground, stripped, and tied up with their own clothing... and having "heard them screaming and crying when they were thrown in the closet", she, your friend, Amanda Baggs, wrote in Dec 1997:

"Many children (mostly autistic) at my school use those picture card things. Everything in the room is labeled with them, and they have schedule boards with velcro on them to attach the pictures. When they want to do something, they point to the picture (often with a lot of coaxing).

My school's pretty neat actually.

It's special-ed for ages 7?-22. There are maybe forty students, of all kinds of problems (I'm in the high-functioning class, recovering from schizophrenia). I get to work with one of the autistic girls once a week, and I really enjoy it.

I want to do things like that professionally, eventually. Once I get out of this school and back to college... "
This paints an entirely different picture, doesn't it?

Now, Amanda might think that she "had autism" when she was a child, and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if she had what are now called "autistic traits", after all they are not that unusual even in the 'normal population' but can you honestly say that Amanda's first 12 years were anything like this in this article by Scot Sea.

Be honest. They weren't, were they?

And that is what's wrong with what you are doing coming to Amanda's rescue, just like the cavalry, when any discussion is raised about her past - on AFF, on Metafilter, on here.

Why?

Because neither Amanda nor you have lived with Autism. Neither of you have cared for a loved one with Autism 24/7, 365 days a year. Year, after year, after year.

Scott Sea's daughter has low-functioning autism. Amanda has taken it upon herself to speak for this child and for tens of thousands like her.

What do you think will happen to this young girl when her parents are gone? Who will take care of her? Not you in your Maths Department at UCSD. And certainly not Amanda.

Amanda's interests center around Amanda and Amanda's wants and needs. Her interest in autism is primarily an intellectual one. And she loves being consulted and giving advice. After all, she has been doing it for years on various support forums: schizophrenia, PTSD, DID, Bi-Polar,..

She has lived most of her life inside her head and her experience of LIFE has come from the numerous books she has read.

Parents of children with autism, on the other hand, are living day after day with stark reality, in the blood and guts of it all. Our lives revolve every day around someone else, not ourselves. That's the difference.

What you may not know is that since 1999 there has been an active campaign to paint a rosy picture of autism, and, from reading some of the posts at AFF, it is obviously working extremely well.

Stimming has become foot jiggling, stroking one's beard, biting one's bottom lip, or tapping a pencil. Echolalia has become BSing your way through school and getting straight As by storing large sentences and sentence-pieces and recombining them to look like you know what you're saying. Perseverances have become special interests or collections. Having sensory problems is having to remove tabs on clothing because they feel scratchy. Social difficulties have become shyness or not being able to do 'small talk'.

Today "having autism" or "being autistic" means being a geek or a nerd, or getting a certain score in an online Aspie quiz. It means being special and superior to Neurotypicals.

Before this bullshit started, no parent wanted to hear that their child had autism. Since it was suggested in 1999 that Einstein might have had it, pseudo-intellectuals think they have it - or their quirky children might have it.

Only problem is: they don't.

I am not at all surprised that you are supporting Amanda now because you have apparently been a steadfast friend who has stood by her for many years throughout her schizophrenic illness. Not many friends would do that.

But please consider that by supporting Amanda in this fiction that she had full-blown autism as a child and, as such, that she should be free to speak against treatment for children with autism, you are also agreeing with what she says:

"Autism is fundamentally beautiful."

Do you believe that? Now read Scott Sea's article again, and tell me it is.

Amanda Baggs, Prelude to Becoming Autistic

What Amanda said in the interview and what she was saying 8,9 and 10 years ago...

"Also deliberate retreat into fantasy — not a “disorder” driving me to do this but a choice to avoid reality if I could. "

Oct 24 1998

"Toward the end of sixth grade I started thinking I was receiving telepathic messages from someone, possibly someone who lost a sister... that summer I started hearing voices"

Oct 1998

"I had really lost touch with reality, and was constantly hearing audible voices at that point. "

April 7 1998

"Schizophrenia is not necessarily a complete mental dysfunction. But it -is- a mental dysfunction, most of the time. For a long time, schizophrenia kept me on the sidelines of things. I watched, but there was no way I could join in. The voices were, most of the time, not saying anything "religious" in nature. They were threatening me with permanent insanity if I didn't do what they said when they said it. I do think some of my "visions" (read "hallucinations") may have meant
something. The black spiny fractallene hole I saw on people, I'm sure had some significance. As did the viewing of a city as a circuitboard.
But for the vast majority of the time, I was just outright psychotic.

"I began being sexually abused in adolescence."

Apr 13 1997

"Like right now people often consider me “low functioning” for not speaking because speech is really important to them, I guess then I would have been “high functioning” when I did speak even though my actual amount of communication (even as measured on tests it turns out) was lower."

People think when you lose things it means you were always “normal” and this wasn’t the case with me. I lost whatever speech I had somewhere between 12 and 15 months. When I regained it, it was echolalic. One of my earliest language memories is of hearing my mouth say the words “Saint Bernard” without knowing what words were, that they had meaning, or even that it was my mouth the sounds were coming out. Even when my speech sounded more normal, I had trouble with receptive language, and didn’t always understand what I was saying.

After those two months, they were going to put me in an institution, but when my parents visited it they said that I absolutely couldn't go there. Fortunately, they sent me to a residential treatment centre instead and the staff and doctors there dragged me kicking and screaming out of my little psychotic hole into reality again. But even now, I am haunted by that other possible future. In another universe, I am probably in the institution now and will die there. I always wonder, why was I lucky? How did I get out of it? Neurodiversity, The Return of the Nitwit

A neurodiverse nitwit ponders the vaccine trial.

from Kevin Leitch:
Thirdly, the vaccine connection. If anybody truly thinks that the vaccine/autism bullshit is anything other than the most important issue facing autism and autistic people right now then they need to pull their heads out the sand.

Right now, this week, a trial will begin that will effectively determine whether vaccines can legally cause autism. The outcome can potentially change the way the whole world views autism. The quacks lose and we can scale back a bit and move focus elsewhere. The quacks win….well, what happens then? Who knows, because as far as autism goes, all bets will be off.

Are you autistic? You’ll be considered first and foremost vaccine-injured. If you refuse treatment – what then? Will your ‘diversity’ be respected? Or will you be the new schizophrenics? Condemned to be held down and chelated much as schizophrenics were once held down and given ECT. Will you still be eligible for the help you get? Housing? Social? Monetary benefits…do you think you’ll still get them?

We see that Kev is concerned if vaccines can legally cause autism. He doesn't give a damn if they actually cause autism, only legally. And, this bonehead allegedly has an autistic daughter.

As far as doing what's best for your child, who gives a damn about any legal definition of anything? It won't change the treatment I give my son if one set of lawyers beats another set of lawyers. Legal wranglings are all about guilty parties escaping responsibility. They are not about helping damaged children. We've already proved that Eli Lilly is guilty beyond a shadow of any doubt. We've done that by curing autistic children, by removing Eli Lilly's poison from their brains.

Look at Neurodiversity's concern regarding this. They are concerned that they might be held down and chelated which could cause them to lose free money from the government. This pretty much sums up the ethics of Neurodiversity. It also shows how one of their leaders caters to the crux of the matter. The leaders of Neuroinsanity have snowed a bunch of people who collect disability payments and convinced them to blog against themselves. They pounced on their naivete to spur them on to become vocal in favor of negligent companies who ruined their lives. The fact that any of the Asperger's bloggers who fell for this did so willingly shows how easy it is for professional propagandists to con mentally disabled people.

What would any sane leader of autistic people tell those people? He would say as forcefully as possible: You were poisoned by Eli Lilly. You should get hair tests and porphyrin tests done and sue the balls off of the companies who poisoned you. Then you should chelate yourselves so you won't be hoodwinked by assholes like Neurodiversity.

No decent person who wanted to help autistic people would advise them to remain disabled and eke out an existence on government handouts. He would tell those mentally disabled people to take every dime they could get from Eli Lilly for destroying their lives.

Thank you Kevin for coming back to show us all how easy it is to abuse innocent autistic people to help the drug companies.

Addendum: As predicted, Kevin now has a diagnosis. This from his latest post:"I carry one of the diagnosis’ listed above. I have type 1 rapid cycling bipolar disorder (Wikipedia). The first time I can remember feeling that I was decidedly different in outlook, thought patterns, behaviour and generally being was when I was about 9 – 10 years old. However, I have not carried an official diagnosis anywhere near as long as that. I’m nearly 40 now. 25 – 30 years ago, just as with autism, there weren’t the same amount of diagnostic specialists who knew the signs and symptoms. Meh. Such is life. It’s well managed now which is a massive relief."

Kev says he has to take a neuroleptic for this condition. He further explains the true nature of his malady:"In the course of this exchange, the phrase ‘brain damaged’ was used in a way that seemed to indicate to me that those who may have to use neuroleptics have damaged brains. I was somewhat taken aback by this. My immediate association was the idiotic null comparisons of John Best of autistic people having ‘rotting brains’."

So, we see that Kev is slowly edging towards accepting the truth about himself. Kev has to call me names to save face amongst the victims of Neuroinsanity. No good leader of naive cult members would miss a chance to demonize an honest person who wants those victims to learn the truth.

It looks like he is setting himself up to have an epiphany once the vaccine case is decided so he can ease himself into helping his daughter. Accepting the fact that a diagnosis of a form of mental illness usually means some sort of brain damage is a good place to start. I think Kev will soon be realizing that, as rotting cars can be cured by sandpaper and paint, rotting brains can be fixed by removing the substance that kills the brain cells. Of course, I could be wrong and Kev could be talking about his alleged condition to regain his credibility with naive cult members who he likes to bash.

Does anyone think type I rapid cycling bipolar disorder is similar to Obsessive Golfing Fixation? It began at about the same age in me as Kev's disorder began in him. Perhaps there's some age related correlation that we should look into. Too bad Joseph is gone or he could do a statistical analysis of OGF and the bipolar thing that afflicts poor Kev.

Neurodiversity, A Straight Shooting Opinion

I couldn't leave this comment buried in the comment section.

Anonymous said...
Please,
Lets please get one thing straight and keep it in mind:

NONE OF 'THE AUTISM HUB' AND/OR 'NEURODIVERISTY' ARE AUTISTIC.

NOT ONE.
Okay?
Got it?

In fact you want to know autism?
Seems that there's a direct proportion to the more autistic someone is, the more Neurodiversity/Amanda Baggs etc squats, spreads cheeks and opens fire.

Amanda Baggs started exploiting autistics starting with the girl she was assigned while in college to 'help' -- and decided she'd rather be more like her than to help her -- and its been nonstop exploitation, manipulating bullying, intimidation, on any of them since.
The more direct the contact, the more autistic the target, the more severe the actions, this from a woman who thinks we're all cockroaches she created anyway, 'not one of us'
Thinking you're like a kid out in the back yard stirring up and fucking with an anthill is this bitch, especially when it comes to autistic people.

You know what, Amanda Baggs? I got yer 'not one of us' *right here* bitch.

That goes for the rest of these "neuordiversity' fuckwads who think they've latched onto something good, the 'perfect' disability because there's nobody to contest them and the scant few with legitimate reason to who might are quickly used and cast aside..

Currently Amanda's been using the plight of some high schooler with AS and now this Larry thing to try to show "see? I help 'em I advocate for em"

I'll tell you what:
I've never seen a truly autistic person aware enough to think of things in terms of 'public life' vs 'private life' let alone contruct such things, nevermind to the level she has, Never seen an autistic person capable to have let alone so obsessed with her public persona and image..

Obsessed with image and quite capable to 'read' the must subtle perceived social slightings, yet this bitch can't control her farts?

She's 'aware' of just what the hell she wants to be and is hiding behind this disability she doesn't have to excuse the rest.

I feel so bad for autistics who made it as far as being able to commmunicate by text, to get online and have their efforts to communicate being met with THIS bunch of lower than low demons.

Lets get that cleared up right away too:
Its not autism or autistics that are demonized, its you fakers, you good-for-nothing frauds.

This webpage would have been MUCH better named "Hating Faking Autism"

THAT'S what it hates, that's what I hate.

You are demons. Traumatizing people and causing so much pain to others, so she and the lot of you can play-act, you incredibly selfish selfish bitches, all of you.

Die 'neurodiversity' die die die.

Neurodiversity Sells Out One of Its' Own

Here is how Kevin Leitch deals with conflict in the Autism Hub by bashing an autistic adult who disagrees with him. "The first conclusion that I have come to is that Larry is a pseudo intellectual poseur. I’ve looked carefully at what he has written both now and in the past and applied his own criteria to his words and actions. I find him duplicitous – dishonest and narcissistic." Kevin Leitch is talking about an autistic adult named Larry Arnold. Isn't it nice how Kevin demonizes this autistic man?

Mr Arnold seems displeased with the leadership in the Autism Hub of Insanity. He sees the mercury debate as a diversion that siphons funds off that he thinks should be used for services. He's right about the debate taking funds away but he misses the point that there really is no debate, just some Pharma shills trying to prevent autistic kids from being helped. The debate is nothing but a stalling tactic that may prevent some people from curing their kids so they can't be used as evidence against Pharma. Mr Arnold doesn't appreciate this fact that mercury did cause the epidemic and that children will be and have been cured. But, that's beside the point as far as he should be concerned. Kevin and his Pharma apologist thugs have hijacked the autism rights movement to obfuscate the truth about mercury.
I think Mr Arnold is more concerned with autism rights from an autistic perspective without being bothered by these criminals who lie about the cause of autism. It doesn't matter that Mr Arnold remains on the side of ignorance about autism's cause. He should be able to lead the cause of respect for autistics without having that goal dragged through the mud by Leitch's and Seidel's idiotic bashing of everyone who actually helps autistic children.

I don't suppose Mr Arnold will be calling children liars who have stepped out of the abyss of low functioning autism to function at a higher level. If these people don't realize a 100% cure out of the autistic spectrum, they may be allies with Arnold in the autism rights movement. Their parents will be right alongside.

Leitch's demonization of Arnold shows his true colors as being opposed to anything that helps any autistic person. Leitch continues his lying about mercury and chelation while bashing an autistic adult in no uncertain terms. Leitch proves what I've been saying all along, that the Autism Hub of Insanity is only using autistic people to further their goal of denying thimerosal as the cause of the autism epidemic. He proves he doesn't give a damn about the autistic people themselves.

Hopefully, other autistic people who have been sucked into this scam by Leitch, Seidel, Estee Klar, Joseph, Cubbins, Stanton and Autism Diva will wake up and disassociate themselves from these scoundrels to advocate for themselves. When they do that, they will have the support of the 99.999% of parents of autistic people who just want to do what is best for all involved.

While the best thing that could happen to all autistic people would be to go through life without any disability, those who will remain disabled to any degree desaerve all the assistance they need. They do not need a bunch of scoundrels knocking those of us who try to improve the condition thereby making enemies for themselves by association.

Autism Speaks Sells Out Their Own

Bob and Suzanne Wright have sold out their daughter and their grandson. They have issued this statement knocking their own daughter for appearing with David Kirby. This shows us that money is thicker than blood for this greedy couple.

Bob and Suzanne claim they are committed to finding the cause and cure for autism. This is pure and utter bullshit. They already know the cause and the cure. They've observed it in their own grandson. They're trying to feed us the idiotic line that autism is mostly genetic.

We all should have known better than to trust anyone who made his living off of drug company advertising. Autism Speaks is nothing more than a bunch of lying thieves. They pick the pockets of philanthropists to increase their wealth as they do everything in their power to take the blame for the autism epidemic off the backs of the drug companies who helped to make Bob Wright rich.

This charitable organization belongs behing bars for helping to hide the truth about autism. Not one child is going to be helped by anyone's donation to these lowlifes.

Bob and Suzanne, if you were my parents, I'd spit in your eyes, beat the hell out you both and leave you for dead. You are the most disgraceful human beings I have ever heard of, knocking your own daughter to help criminals who are still poisoning babies worldwide. The continuance of this crime makes Hitler look like a choir boy.

Thimerosal caused the autism epidemic, Bob and Suzanne. The history books will include your despicable role in the coverup.

Neurodiversity Condemns Autistic Man

Kevin Leitch is crying because a sane person made a joke about Neuroinsanity. Poor Kev isn't happy that a sane and rational man inserted the word "Neurodiverse" into a headline about an autistic man with a collection of child pornography.

One would think Neuroinsanity would come to this man's defense. He has autism, probably can't get a date, may have no friends and has embraced a perversion, presumably giving himself some sort of sexual outlet. Kevin claims the sane man is utilizing the suffering, rape and torture of children to demonize the Neuroinsane.

Kev forgot to mention that the autistic man is serving time in prison and that he didn't rape or torture anyone according to the article. Isn't Neuroinsanity supposed to help autistic people? While collecting child pornography is certainly deranged, the article didn't say that this guy ever took any action to accost a child. He simply looked at pictures of child pornography.

I don't think autistic people should be in prison. I don't care what the crime is. These people need help. So, where's the help for a lonely, autistic pervert from the Neuronitwits who want society to adapt for their peculiar behavior? Do they just write this guy off as a deranged criminal and let him rot the way they allow mercury to rot their children's brains?

I'd rather see the guy put in a state hospital, evaluated for what caused his autism, and see if treatment might help him. If we can eliminate his autism, the autistic person might be saved. Autism is, in most cases, mercury induced brain damage. A lonely autistic man with no friends, existing with a damaged brain should not be locked up because the people who caused his condition won't help to reverse the damage. This guy deserves a chance to have his brain fixed so that he might enjoy his life like any normal person.

If I were to take issue with whatever behavior this guy engaged in and condemn him for it, I would not be honest if I did not condemn my son for every bit of strange behavior the autism has caused in him as a child. Who knows what behavior may manifest itself in him when he grows up? Should that be our children's fate? Should they rot in prison for being autistic and not being able to deal with the world? All Neuroinsanity cares about is that a joke from a sane man allegedly demonized their insane philosophy. Leitch and his moronic commentors make no mention of helping this autistic person. That's a sad state of affairs for an organization supposedly concerned with the rights of the disabled.

I'll be happy to be the only person on the planet who defends this guy. I have no clue what the brain damage my son endures may become if I can't fix it. His childhood has been ruined. I don't want to see anything he might do that was caused by the fact that his brain was damaged result in him spending time in prison. Society can find a better way to deal with autism. If the time comes that he has to be separated from society, he does not deserve to be treated like a criminal.

So, where's the concern for this person who SUFFERS from autism? What's wrong with the parents of autistic people who can't envision their own child locked up for being so damn lonely and brain damaged that their inability to reason clearly led them into a perversion? If you want to answer this, keep in mind that, as far as the article told us, all this guy did was look at pictures.

Neurodiversity Attacks the Methodist Church

Once again, Mrs Nitwit is up in arms because hardly anyone responded to a letter that she sent to a bunch of people in the Methodist church complaining about children being helped by scientists. It speaks well for the church that they ignore nitwits.

Mrs Nitwit claims that Rev Sykes has a conflict of interest in campaigning against poisoning babies with thimerosal due to the fact that the Reverend has a lawsuit pending. Huh?! How is it any sort of conflict to not wish to see more babies poisoned into the nightmare known as autism? This woman's baby was disabled, possibly for life by poisonous vaccines and Mrs Nitwit sees her lawsuit to compensate the child for that injury as a conflict of interest? Is this how Mrs Nitwit advocates for autistic people, by calling action that helps them a conflict of interest?

I'd love to see a national poll for all parents of autistic children to see how many think a lawsuit against a company who poisoned their child is a conflict of interest while trying to raise public awareness so that more children are not poisoned.

Mrs Nitwit claims that she wants to help reduce suffering in autistic children and adults. I wonder if she'll explain to the children whose autistic symptoms have been reduced with Lupron how her campaign against Lupron helps those kids. Maybe Mrs Nitwit is truly concerned about the children having to face the cold, cruel world and she thinks they'd be safer locked up in institutions. I can't find any other logical reason that one who wants to reduce their suffering would be against treatments that help these kids. Maybe Mrs Nitwit will explain this to me.

New Autistic Condition Discovered (OGF) Through Neurodiversity

I have just learned that I am autistic. Like many adults who have suffered their entire lives and not known exactly why they were different, Neurodiversity helped me understand that my brain is wired differently. I have been perseverating on one thing for 43 years. I have been fixated on this one aspect of my life, sometimes ignoring pain and bleeding, many missed days at work, been called crazy for pursuing this fixation in rain, below zero temperatures, snow and 100 degree heat. I have the autistic condition known as Obsessive Golfing Fixation (OGF). I do not want to be cured.

I know I was born with OGF as was every male in my family. My grandfathers, all my uncles, all my cousins, my father and my brother all had OGF. One grandfather realized natural improvement in his symptoms and he was cured when he turned 97 and could no longer swing a club. All of the rest are still afflicted with this condition. However, we choose to celebrate this natural diversity. I'd like to thank Neurodiversity for pointing out that we should embrace our differences. We golfers are sick of being discriminated against by tyrannical employers insisting that we go to work on sunny days. To anyone with OGF, sunny days are an irresistible cue to call in sick and head to the golf course. It is much like autistic stimming. We just can't resist that urge because it is who we are and that need to golf should be accommodated by sadistic bosses. While everyone with OGF cares deeply about their work not being done or someone else being forced to do our job, our inherent need to play golf must be accepted as part of our condition. It is a part of us that can not be fixed. Any boss who insists that we show up for work instead of going golfing is bullying us and our government must make laws that allow us to celebrate the joy of OGF without fear of being fired.

Those of us with OGF are high functioning autistics. We have families, friends, college educations and good jobs. Many wives have tried to cure us but, so far, the only cure seems to be old age, feebleness and permanent injury. I do not want to be cured as that would be akin to killing the golfer within.

Since OGF has not yet been added to the DSM, it's important for all autism organizations to recognize this newly discovered subset of autistics so that society will accomodate our needs. We would be much happier if the government paid all our greens fees and provided us with disability payments so we could concentrate on golfing all the time without being bothered by mundane things like work.

OGF is a genetic condition that began with a defective gene in Scotland in the 19th century. The condition is now worldwide and affects millions of people, mostly men. This discovery drives a stake into the hearts of all those crazy people who tried to blame thimerosal for causing autism. With this, we now know that millions of people with the autistic subset called OGF have existed for well over a century. We need support, not a cure. Since all the great golfers in history must have been autistic, it would be cruel and abusive for anyone to try to cure OGF and deny the world the next Sam Snead or Tiger Woods. Let's declare OGF a disability so we can stop the abuse of golfers now.

Neurodiversity Attacks the Geiers (Again and Again and Again)

Kathleen Seidel has launched another attack of character assassination on the Geiers. She also told us, indirectly, why every word she says should be completely ignored.

"As a student in library school many moons ago, ..." This is what Kathleen Seidel says about herself in her blog. So, we see that she is an old librarian.

In her latest stab at character assassination on the Geiers, she tries to claim that they are doing something wrong because their degrees don't match up with the work they do to cure autistic kids.

Thus, by Kathleen's own reasoning, she has disqualified herself from being able to offer any valid opinion on anything the Geiers do because she is an old librarian and not a scientist. She is also not a decent parent who helps autistic children. That also disqualifies her from being able to offer a valid opinion on the subject.

Thank you Kathleen for disqualifying your long-winded garbage from being worthy of consideration by anyone. Please stick to restacking books.

Quackbusters Masquerading as Parents

Somebody claiming to be Stephen Barrett commented on my post yesterday. So, I clicked on his name to see where it led and wound up at Barrett's site. I don't know why I didn't figure this out a long time ago. Barrett has links to Autism Diva, Seidel and some jerk who calls himself Bartholemew Cubbins as well as David Gorski, AKA Orac.

Barrett also has links to sites that are not recommended which include ACHAMP, GR, Safe Minds, NAA, MAM, NoMercury, etc.. It looks like this jackass is the source from which all of the Neurodiverse nitwits draw their ammunition to bash parents who want to help their poisoned kids.

Tim Bolen tells us that the nitwit, Barrett is engaged in all of this propaganda to get rid of alternative medicine, thus making more money for mainstream doctors who poison babies. That makes sense. It certainly makes a lot more sense than some crazed parent claiming that curing an autistic child is akin to killing the kid.

I wonder if Estee Klar is paid by Barrett to go on TV and talk about the Joy of autism. Enquiring minds want to know Estee, are you a dumb blond or just playing a role for Barrett? What about Joseph, where did he disappear to? I hear that Barrett may be moving his operation out of the country because of his legal problems. Is Joseph the quackbuster tasked with making that happen? Maybe Joseph is Barrett and has gone into hiding. He had no sense of humor at all about the last entries I made to his blog. Of course, I could be mistaken and Joe might be conjuring up some new scheme to convince parents to let their kids rot in the hell of autism. His crap about curing a kid being akin to killing the kid only went over well with the Neurodiversity cult members, those super naive people who fell for this quackbuster crap disguised as something that was good for autistic people.

The quackbusters are being hunted now. That explains all of the anonymity. Criminals of this sort can't be called cowards for hiding their personal information. That's just being a smart criminal. What asshole who harms autistic people wants to get caight?

Now that the connection to quackbusters is apparent, I wonder what will become of Amanda Baggs. Will Kathleen Seidel keep up the charade of being a concerned parent of a kid with ASD instead of the ruthless cutthroat bitch who does character assassination on good scientists? Will Kathleen go out of her way to check up on poor Amanda? Will Amanda revert to being an acid using schizophrenic now that her fraud has been exposed? Or, will she decide to remain autistic to collect benefits? Will that nitwit lawyer,(I forgot her name) leave Droopy alone? Will Droopy help prosecute Baggs, I hope she has the tapes that disappeared from Youtube.

What about David Andrews? Does anyone think old Sanity Pending is one of the quackbusters or was he just a dupe? I don't think professional child abusers associated with quackbusters would put BA Pending after their name and tell everyone where they lived and went to school. No, they'd be more like Prometheus and NotMercury. They'd hide their identities well.

I wonder how long these assholes of Neurodiversity will try to keep up their charade now that I found their connection to the slimeball, Barrett. Will they explain to the poor young men and women with Asperger's how they used them, as I've been trying to point out for so long? Let's see if any more of the Autism Hub bloggers disappear like Joseph did.

What about Leitch? It's hard to imagine that any smart insiders with the quackbusters would include a dope like him in their inner circle. They probably just spotted how gullible he was and sucked him into doing the computer work to put the Autism Hub together. Maybe I'm giving the quackbusters too much credit though and Leitch is one of their leaders, who knows.

Maybe I'll write some more about these quackbusters but, for now, I'm content that I found the connection. There had to be some evil behind the charade of parents intentionally harmimg autistic children with their deranged rhetoric. Now, Neurodiversity makes some sense to me.

Does Neurodiversity Equal Quackbusters?

Scroll down to the part called How the Scam Works after clicking on the quackbusters link.. Doesn't this sound exactly like Neurodiversity? This is too similar to just be a coincidence.

I hope all of the people associated with Neuroinsanity will read this. It just points out what I've been telling you all along. Your leaders are simply a sham and are using you to help Pharma and mainstream medicine increase profits. These maggots couldn't care less about you or autistic rights. It's high time you folks with Asperger's woke up and stopped these bastards from using you to increase their profits. Any Autism Hub bloggers with half a brain who are not paid members of Quackbusters should quit the Hub right now, consult Generation Rescue and publicly denounce the Neurodiversity leaders.

I can only guess at who the anonymous or pseudonymous shills are. My best guess would be that it's the ones who won't publish any of my comments. That includes Kathleen, Kev, Kristina, Diva, DoC, Michelle, Amanda Baggs, along with Prometheus and Orac when they can't come up with an argument to refute what I have to say. While Joseph usually publishes my comments, that's only because he mistakenly thinks he's smarter than me. He's also, by far, the smartest of the Neurodiverse which makes me think he could only be a shill. My opinion on Estee Klar is that it's a tossup whether she's really as dumb as she acts and is a well meaning mother or that she is simply playing the role of the dumb blond with some bit of education.

Tim Bolen tells us this about Quackbusters: "It's sole purpose is to discredit, and suppress, in an "anything goes" attack mode, what is wrongfully named "Alternative Medicine." It has declared war on reality." I hope the innocent victims associated with the Autism Hub are paying attention. What fits in with this better than Kathleen's attacks on parents who are simply trying to help their children? Why do Diva and Kevin relentlessly bash parents who are desperate to save their kids?
Why would any parent bash another parent for helping a child? One thing you can be certain of is that the truth about autism will be the worst black eye the medical profession has ever had. They are going to great lengths to avoid it. Having their blogs show up on page one of most searches shows they are accomplishing their goal.

I can only guess about whether or not Neurodiversity is really Quackbusters. I don't have the resources to track down these idiots and have them investigated. It does make sense though, all the anonymous twerps calling anyone who helps an autistic child a quack, the personal attacks on scientists and parents. Why didn't we hear any of this nonsense until a couple of years ago? One would think that a sect of crazed parents would have sprung up long before that if these nitwits were really who they claim to be. There can't really be any people who celebrate having a child afflicted with autism.

Neurodiversity Credibility Check

http://neurodiversity.com/weblog/article/127/
Here's the link to the nitwit's blog. This time, she's knocking some doctor who practices chelation, presumably to warn people that he might be dangerous because of some problems he had in the past. She may have a point about the guy disagreeing with supplementing minerals.

The lack of credibility, however, is incredibly obvious by the fact that Mrs Nitwit doesn't bother to direct the reader to places where they can learn safe and effective chelation. We know she is aware of these places with all the muckraking she does by infesting these lists where she doesn't belong. It seems the credible thing to do would be to help out the reader with her vast knowledge of safe chelation protocols. But, unfortunately, someone who seems to exist for the sole purpose of preventing autistic children from being helped wouldn't do that, would they.

Mrs Nitwit is also good enough to try to do some character assassination on a couple of intelligent parents who try to help children by finding a way to asociate them with this doctor.

What would a reasonable person try to do when discovering a chelation protocol that might not be the best? Perhaps they would suggest that our government or the AMA arrange to meet with the leaders in the field and find a consensus on lessons learned. This might serve to standardize the procedure while making it safer and more effective for the children. Someone who would rather see the kids suffer wouldn't publicize this thought if it dawned on her empty head. She'd be more content to stupidly bash anyone who helps an autistic child to satisfy whatever deranged notion is dancing around in her scrambled brain.

Once again Mrs Nitwit, thank you for demonstrating the insanity of Neurodiversity.

Why Did Cho Do It?

We heard that Cho had autism from his aunt. Then that comment disappeared. We heard that Cho was bullied. We heard he was a loner who didn't even speak or make eye contact with his room mates. There was the comment that autism brought shame on the family in Korean culture. Who knows what to make of his rant about wealthy people? The isolation and loneliness he endured probably played some nasty tricks with his sanity.

All of this is relevant if one wants to dwell on minutiae. All of it sets the stage for his explosion. We who endure autism every damn day know the ultimate reason for this manifestation of a ruined life.

Publicizing the ultimate reason for this explosion is the only thing that can prevent it from happening again. I'm sick of all the comments claiming that identifying Cho as autistic will make it harder for kids with autism. Problems are not solved by hiding information. People who are strange don't have friends and no ammount of societal do-gooding is going to change that.

If Cho was autistic, I want to see it publicized. I want it to be well known what mercury does to brains. The ultimate cause of this horror began in 1931 when Eli Lilly started poisoning people with thimerosal. The fact that the media removed that comment from Cho's aunt just says that the media is hiding autism from intense scrutiny. Intense scrutiny of the ultimate reason for this horror might produce the truth for the whole world to see. We don't know if Cho was poisoned by mercury like my son was. Does anyone think that fact will be covered up if a tox screen reveals it? If Cho had thimerosal induced autism, the vaccine manufacturers and the medical profession must accept the blame for the lost lives. The truth is the only thing that can prevent more of the same.

Amanda Baggs Lawyers Up

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgmP0Z1PC74

Above is the link to a letter from Neurodiverse nitwit lawyer, Anne Bevington to the autistic woman known as Droopy. It seems that Bevington thinks she can order Droopy to stop defending herself from Amanda Baggs' impersonation of her.

Bevington has gone as far as demanding that Droopy remove all anonymous comments from this blog that she thinks were put there by Droopy. I hope Droopy won't get in trouble with Bevington because anonymous comments can not be removed by the author. They can only be removed by the blog owner.

The problem here is, how is the blog owner supposed to know who put the anonymous comments here. Will I be reprimanded by this neurodiverse nitwit because I can't identify who posted certain coments? What if I believe Droopy and not Amanda (sham) Baggs? Can this lawyer force me to delete comments? That sounds like a free speech matter. I don't think lawyers have the authority to force anyone to do anything. Can she sue me for refusing to infringe on Droopy's right to free speech? I don't think so.

We have Amanda Baggs masquerading as a low functioning autistic person. If Amanda wants to take legal action based on that, it seems she would have to prove that she is, in fact, a low functioning autistic person. A low functioning autistic person might try to eat the keyboard upon which Baggs types 120 words per minute. I wonder if Baggs can work that into her role. Can she type and eat the keyboard simultaneously?

If low functioning autistic people knew how to call lawyers for help, they'd all be getting themselves off of Seroquel, Clonidine and other wonderful, mind-numbing drugs in favor of some DMSA and ALA, and getting themselves out of institutions. Does anyone think this nitwit, Bevington will help autistic kids with that? I doubt it. However, it's interesting that this associate of Kathleen Seidel's will initiate legal action against a true autistic woman. This is just more proof that Neurodiversity exists to harm autistic people.

That's my opinion of the whole thing, MS Bevington. Do you think silencing Droopy will stop anyone else from giving their opinion that Amanda Baggs is a sham?

Droopy, you're welcome to say whatever you want about Baggs here. That is, of course, unless MS Bevington can deny you you're free speech on a blog. This blog is written for an autistic person and, as such, will expose any scumbag who tries to harm any autistic person with blatant lies as Amanda Baggs chooses to do.

Amanda Baggs, MS Bevington, is harmful to all truly low functioning autistic people because she makes the general public think that autism is not nearly as horrible as it is. That lie that sways public opinion helps to prevent a majority of the public from becoming outraged at the atrocity that has been perpetrated on our babies. The fact that the general public is not outraged about this crime of negligence prevents people like my son from receiving all of the medical care that he needs to reverse the effect of that negligent poisoning. For assisting with this sham MS Bevington, I hope you die a slow, painful death and rot in Hell.

I also hope some decent lawyer who reads this will advise Droopy how to get this Neurodiverse nitwit, lawyer off her ass.

ADDENDUM: It looks like the nitwit lawyer has scared Droopy. All of her videos concerning Amanda (sham) Baggs are gone from Youtube. The nitwit can't erase our memories. We know what we saw and we know who is telling the truth. The scumbags at Neuroinsanity may have won a battle by intimidating an autistic woman. Their actions can't alter the truth.

Here's another video that the nitwits at Neuroinsanity will not like. http://www.tacanow.org/video/hope-video.htm
I wonder if a nitwit lawyer will demand that this be removed because it shows them for the idiots that they are with their deranged philosophy of wanting children to suffer for a lifetime instead of being helped.

More Proof That Autism Is Mercury Poisoning

Autistics Clinically Proven Mercury Poisoned

Press Release Contact:

For Immediate Release CoMeD Director [Rev. Sykes (Richmond, VA)

April 8, 2007 CoMeD Sci. Advisor [Dr. King (Lake Hiawatha, NJ)

WASHINGTON, DC – Recent peer-reviewed scientific/medical studies by Nataf et al. (2006) and by Geier and Geier (2006) leave little doubt that many children with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) are indeed mercury poisoned. These studies utilized urinary porphyrin profile analysis (UPPA) to assess body-burden and physiological effects of mercury in autistics. Today, any parent, physician, or healthcare provider can easily confirm whether a non-chelated autistic is mercury poisoned by having UPPA testing run at Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp) (CLIA-certified, Test#120980) or Laboratoire Philippe Auguste (ISO-certified, Urine Porphyrin Profile).

UPPA is a highly accurate, inexpensive, non-invasive, and routinely available method for estimating body-burden and toxicity of mercury. Numerous peer-reviewed scientific/medical papers published over the past 40 years, many of them supported by the US NIH, have proven the validity of using UPPA to identify mercury poisoning.

UPPA profiling, unlike attempts to directly measure mercury in the blood, urine or feces, or in tissues (e.g., hair and nail), is a proven method for assessing mercury toxicity.

Using UPPA, Nataf et al. (2006) studied the urinary porphyrin patterns in French children using the results reported by Laboratoire Philippe Auguste. Similarly, Geier and Geier (2006) studied the urinary porphyrin patterns in US children using the results reported by LabCorp.

Both published studies:

· Clearly demonstrated that non-chelated autistics had porphyrin patterns indicative of clinical mercury toxicity, while normal children and their normal sibling controls did not.

· Found that the more severely affected the ASD children were the higher their evidence of mercury toxicity.

· Established that treating autistics with chelating agents resulted in lower mercury-specific urinary porphyrins, which corresponded to apparent reductions in the mercury body-burden of these children.

Many other physicians who take care of ASD patients have ordered UPPA testing and confirmed the observations made by Nataf et al. (2006) and Geier and Geier (2006).

Thus, urinary porphyrin profile testing is being successfully used to:

· Demonstrate the role of mercury in populations of autistics,

· Identify those children and adults who are mercury poisoned, and

· Track mercury excretion from affected children undergoing treatment.

For the past several years there has been a raging controversy as to whether or not mercury in medicines, especially in vaccines, has caused the dramatic rise in the rate of children diagnosed with an ASD. Many experts have insisted ASDs are caused by some yet-to-be-identified genetic cause. A paper recently published in Nature Genetics described the results of multi-million-dollar genetics study (which studied a thousand-plus families with at least two autistics using in-depth genetic screening). Tellingly, the authors reported, "None of our linkage results can be interpreted as `statistically significant'…" (The Autism Genome Project Consortium, 2007). This makes it unlikely that purely genetic aberrations are t he root cause of most ASD cases.

With the current porphyrin study results, public health officials should now publicly admit what they have been saying in their private transcripts and memos all along: Mercury from Thimerosal-containing vaccines and other medicines has been a major cause of ASD cases, which, according to recent CDC (2007) estimates, may occur one in every 150 children.

CoMeD's web site, http://www.Mercury-freeDrugs.org contains:

· Further information on how to order these tests,

· Full copies of the Nataf et al. (2006) and Geier and Geier (2006) papers, and

· Some of the many published papers validating the UPPA test.

Comments About Amanda (Sham) Baggs

At 15 March, 2007, Anonymous said...
An interesting little 'audio/visual rendition' of Amanda's 'group of beings' statement can be found here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88ahwuKabxU

Here's Amanda's immediate (damage control) response:

http://ballastexistenz.autistics.org/?p=333

At least this time it wasn't "my psychiatrist brainwashed and made me do it."
To her credit, she does keep it 'fresh' by periodically swapping the excuses around.

No, this time no conspiratorial mothers, no evil brainwashing shrinks;
this time it was merely the drugs, one little anti-depressant to be exact
-- one taken in 1999, a full two years after she posted this in 1997 -- that's a really amazing drug!

Amanda has a long list, advising of which things she's said that you can believe and which ones you can't.
"This was real, no that part wasn't, okay THIS was real, that part wasn't.."

Just how many of these selective instructions are people willing to take anyway?
When does not only the very existance of these instructions, but so many of them finally begin to raise its very own set of questions and doubts in people's minds?

Yes. Reading through her posts on various forums, on her own blog and elsewhere, it's very difficult to know what's true and what's not. Although what she wrote before she found out about atypical autism is probably more accurate.

I wonder how she explains away earlier hallucinations, delusions and voices which definitely pre-date the anti-depressant....

"I have seen things all my life that weren't there, but I only started hearing voices regularly when I was eleven."
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.support.schizophrenia/browse_thread/thread/c712bdb543fb0f16/bb73479c04694fc0?lnk=st&q=eleven&rnum=3&hl=en#bb73479c04694fc0

"As soon as I stopped speaking to her I started having memories from the elf-forest. And those memories guarded me against her continued (psychological) attacks on me." "Is it also coincidence that soon after I broke off contact with her I started showing signs of schizophrenia?"
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.support.schizophrenia/browse_thread/thread/62dab6bf34e3391/1bf028da398e92d2?lnk=st&q=Abby&rnum=4&hl=en#1bf028da398e92d2

"I would have hallucinations that I didn't know were related to any of this, like seeing spiders and/or butterflies literally covering the floor, crunching under my feet. I didn't like seeing flower petals and would go to great lengths to avoid them, thinking they were dead butterflies. " (Click on quoted text in first post):
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.support.trauma-ptsd/browse_thread/thread/4360e1b8d7daa26f/d494dbb6f8b6e185?lnk=st&q=&rnum=69&hl=en#d494dbb6f8b6e185

This, after Clorazil which she took at 15-16:

"Elves, while on Clozaril. I was forced not to believe in them, and not to connect with trees in the way I had before them. I was especially not
allowed to believe that I was not human (which I'm not, for what it's worth)... those medications can take a lot out of you. I had never believed in things like demons, but I don't think it's a coincidence that it was /after/ these medications when I stopped looking to the trees and the stars and the elves and started looking to the glowing red eyes in the window... "

"They said I was "depressed" at that point, but it was a direct result of taking things out of me. There was a "hallucination" they couldn't seem to get rid of (well, they couldn't get rid of the voices most of the time either but they got rid of good things) which involved a large, spiny, fractallene, black, sometimes flashing hole."
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.support.schizophrenia/browse_thread/thread/9e999a9424875de/c33adaad3cb8a902?lnk=st&q=Wellbutrin&rnum=35&hl=en#c33adaad3cb8a902

This is what Amanda said about the anti-depressant:

"the Wellbutrin keeps me awake I think... I'm on Seroquel/Wellbutrin/Lithium now... it doesn't make me psychotic particularly..."
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.support.schizophrenia/browse_thread/thread/456e1a991b21d0a1/39dc0c0ce356d2db?lnk=st&q=Seroquel%2C+Lithium+and+Wellbutrin&rnum=9&hl=en#39dc0c0ce356d2db

I found this exchange from December 1998, before her PDD-NOS/atypical autism diagnosis, very interesting:

"The Others are still up there, I'm still an elf (despite other people's beliefs on that one :)) and as far as I know the "place" I came from still exists, complete with intact elves (not stuck in a human body) and whatever their kind of humans are there... and trees. And I have "thought as one" with the Others, while on medication... since this medication tends to take away that which is psychotic in me, I don't think this other stuff would be possible now if it weren't real. ":
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.support.schizophrenia/browse_thread/thread/9e999a9424875de/c33adaad3cb8a902?lnk=st&q=Wellbutrin&rnum=35&hl=en#c33adaad3cb8a902

After reading that, it occurred to me that despite her new diagnosis, Amanda might still believe she is an elf, sent by the Others to study humans.

Then I came across this:

http://www.autistics.org/library/conversation.html
Conversation on Institutions

Amanda: Like in my case I'm supposedly out because I'm not schizophrenic, which in part is not diagnosed simply because I stay away from the sorts of people and saying the sorts of things that worry people.

Laura: Yes. Yeah. Well in a purely practical sense, I think anybody who can get any loophole to get out of that system, can and should use any loopholes they have. Because they have no right to keep anyone, so therefore anything and everything that will keep someone out of there, including if necessary lies, it's perfectly fine with me."

So what if by not talking about delusions and hallucinations, schizophrenics can have their diagnosis changed to "resolved schizophrenia", or, like Amanda, "single episode, full remission", and then, given the 'right' background, they could fit the criteria for atypical autism - and be free to call themselves autistic?

Perhaps adults who claim to be autistic or say they have autistic traits in the family are confusing mental illness and eccentricity with autism.

For instance, Amanda wrote in 1998:

"Genetically, I have a family history on both sides of schizophrenia and on one side of perceptual disorders sometimes like autism..."
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.support.autism/browse_thread/thread/86be5a79713db563/b8503c223bc3d350?lnk=st&q=Wellbutrin&rnum=29&hl=en#b8503c223bc3d350

But today, she talks about her successful brother who was once a low-functioning autistic who smeared, and Gupta says in the CNN transcript:

"There is a belief, though, a strong belief, Kiran, that it is genetic. Even in the case of Amanda, her brother and her father had autism as well. "

I guess he got that from Amanda, but that's not what she would have told him in 1998:

"Genetically, I have a family history on both sides of schizophrenia and on one side of perceptual disorders sometimes like autism..."
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.support.autism/browse_thread/thread/86be5a79713db563/b8503c223bc3d350?lnk=st&q=Wellbutrin&rnum=29&hl=en#b8503c223bc3d350

I guess "autism" is currently a far more socially acceptable diagnosis - and suits the agenda.

At 20 March, 2007, Anonymous said...
Thanks Watson,

"I guess "autism" is currently a far more socially acceptable diagnosis - and suits the agenda."

I totally agree.
I think that everyone who has contributed to this thread with information and links etc, have proven without a doubt and exposed Amanda Baggs for what she really is - a lying manipulative schizophrenic, pretending to be autistic.

BTW anti psychotic drugs do not cause auditory or visual hallucinations, but LSD does...

You can fool some of the people, some of the time...

The games up Amanda.
